was julio cesar chavez sr the most overrated fighter ever?

Julio Cesar Chavez aka JC Superstar is arguably the greatest fighter ever from Mexico and in the top 10 greatest fighters of all time. Who can ever forget the night he destroyed one of my heroes Edwin "El Chapo" Rosario.

 

Chavez is undefeated against fighters from the third world shithole where your sorry ass was born and from you were forced to leave in a banana boat cause they had reached the gay quota allowed in the place known as the "Zombie Island".

 

Chavez was undefeated coming into that bout, and was coming off 2 of his biggest wins in Haugen and Camacho. Sure it wasn't his prime weight but it wasn't Whitaker's either, both were small guys and matter of fact, both had just moved up to the weight division.

Take away the padded record as it really don't mean anything, 20 fights, 100, quality over quantity. Then consider the fact that he was 3 seconds away from losing his biggest fight and you're left with a handful of good-very good fighters, non elite. Still obviously a great fighter, getting through guys like Camacho, Rosario, Mayweather, Lockbridge but it doesn't seem like the resume of a top 20 ATG like many here claim.

...Just watched Chavez v Rosario again last night. The man was a machine, pure and simple. To say that he lacked certain fundamentals must be the biggest ****ing joke of a statement of all time.

Tell that to Meldrick Taylor who had a fractured face, ribs and kidney's, broken eye sockets, damaged jaw, swollen face, and was pissing blood for days afterwards. All that was inflicted in one fight!
