Regardless of who you think wins between Duran and Mayweather you should be extremely embarrassed comparing Duran to Baldomir. What it tells me or anyone else reading your posts is that you don't know what the **** you're talking about.

Money would embarrass him but u haters now would bring a guy from another planet who would smashed Floyd... stop hating and pay homage to the king Money May

Leonard did have some problems with some defensive fighters(Benitez and Duran) and Mayweather Sr did give him some trouble but not a lot. I don't know if Leonard would be a clear favorite against Mayweather. It would be a 50/50 fight. And no he would probaly not KO Floyd. Remember the stoppage in the Leonard/Benitez was premature and the fight could have went the distance.

These guys are elite fighters. They think they can beat anyone. It's no surprise that SRL said he would knock Floyd out. He's supposed to say that. What was surprising is that his brother (who KSAB) said Floyd would beat him.

Both fighers are live if SRL fought Floyd at 147. SRL did not age gracefully. Any version of Floyd beats older SRL. At SRL's prime it's a pick em fight the prime question is whether SRL can touch Floyd consistently. If he can he wins, if he can't he loses. This would not be an easy win for SRL. Floyd has not fought a fighter on SRL's level, but THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT BEING AN ELITE FIGHTER MAKES FLOYD EASY TO HIT.

I wouldn't bet this fight if the odds were close. I bet on the underdog if the odds were lopsided and I'd favor a decision over a KO.

The last thing I will say is that you people need to let go of this Floyd is scared fantasy. Keep the purse the same or make it larger and You can substitute any fighter at 147 or 154 for Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd would have jumped all over that fight.

Your argument is based on the idea that 'the 1st 3 rounds' showed 'that style whoops Ray Leonards ass horribly'. You seem to have forgotten that Leonard actually dominated the third round. It would have been more accurate for you to say that Sr gave Leonard issues for the first two rounds, not the first three.

As for the 'potency of the style' remark -- it's more about the fighter than the style he uses. Berto tried to use the shoulder roll and didn't have the best results. Mayweather Jr is an excellent fighter who uses it very well. Mayweather Sr did give Leonard a few issues early on using that style, but Leonard quickly adapted and beat him up, eventually stopping him.

We can break down those opening three rounds you mentioned. This is what I see.

Round 1: Leonard mainly backing away while Sr advances. Leonard tries jabs to the body and right hands over the top, but isn't able to get through with much. Good round for Mayweather Sr, who seems to throw and land more shots, so he deserves the round.

Round 2: Fairly close round -- a battle of the jab. I'd give Leonard the edge here, and he starts to throw more combinations at the end of the round. Again, he doesn't land many shots, as Mayweather Sr rolls and ducks well, but he may have landed enough to take the round.

Round 3: Mayweather Sr comes out aggressively. Leonard responds and lands good punches. He gets through more and more when he becomes aggressive and throws combinations. Mayweather Sr trying to roll, shell up and occasionally throw back, but as the round goes on he becomes a heavy bag, sitting on the ropes while Leonard hits him to the body and head. At one point Leonard hits him with seven hooks around his guard in a row. Credit to Mayweather Sr for keeping his defence up and leaning away from some punches, but Leonard completely dominated the round and easily won it.

Leonard wasn't able to land many clean punches in the first two rounds. It was only when he became more aggressive and started throwing quick combinations (rather than a jab or straight right here and there as he was doing before) that Mayweather Sr suddenly started to back off and go to the ropes, where Leonard could beat him up. So, going by those specific rounds that you mentioned, I would say that Mayweather Sr did give him some problems in two of them with his defensive technique and speed. Even then, however, nothing he did in those two rounds suggests that his style 'whoops Leonard horribly'. He didn't dominate Leonard at any point. To be fair, he did have another fairly good round later in the fight, but then Leonard won the other rounds and hurt him on multiple occasions before stopping him.

Basically, I see your point, but I think you exaggerated about Sr's success. In a fight between Leonard and Mayweather Jr, I do think Jr would give him serious problems and make a very competitive match, because he's a special fighter, but I would still give Leonard the edge in that one, probably for a decision victory.

SRL is one of the best of all time and beat a defensive master like Benitez in his prime. Floyd beating likes of a green Canelo, over the hill Oscar, Mosley, and weak ww's like Judah and Baldomir doesnt help his cause. All those fighters would not last the distance with any of the Fab 4 at 147-154, excluding Hagler of course. Truth is Floyd could wish he'd beat just ONE or anyone close in greatness to the Fab 4; SRL beat all of them. And make matters worse, SRL looked sensational doing it, Floyd does "clinics" or aka domination over an overmatched opponent. SRL took risks, Floyd took vacations. End thread.

he also said, that's the fighter in him talking...but the Ray Leonard person says it's a pick em fight.

for what it's worth, his brother have told him he can't beat Mayweather...but I guess you chose to leave those parts out

This is your classic example of a Duran apologist: randomly popping up and interjecting themselves into a thread that has f*ck all to do with Duran to justify his disgraceful quit job.

These ****s truly have no shame.
