    Ah, I get that, but Valdez is a different type of animal. JJ can definitely win a world belt.

    Ha ha. Based on what? Maybe we do like ourselves and others and we're world renowned for it but we dont go on about our boxers being world beaters before they turn pro... unlike yourselves. Give us one example of when an Irishman said an Irish fighter was the best in the world.

    If Nevin hits like some on here say then he will go all the way IMO, my reservation of him is does he have the power to keep guys off him, he certainly has all the skills and ability to make a quality pro if he has the power to match then we could be looking at someone very very good

    I haven't seen his power personally but there are a couple of lads on the Irish thread in the general section that have sparred him and say he hits really hard. He just boxed the way you needed to in the old amateur system.
