He was knocked down by Darnell Boone. :deal Who do you think will crack that jaw of his? Stevenson vs Kovalev will be a good fight. The first one to get a good hit off will probably win by way of KO. In the main event, highly regarded light heavyweight Sergey Kovalev (10-0, 9 KOs) was knocked down in round seven, but escaped with a narrow eight round split decision win over veteran upset specialist Darnell Boone (17-16-3, 7 KOs). Scores were 76-75, 76-75 for Kolalev, 76-75 for Boone. his was a great learning experience for Kovalev, who was sent to canvas for the first time in his career in round seven but stood up to win victory. Although Boone knocked Kovalev down twice, the judges awarded Kovalev the split decision. (One I believe did not count, was probably an off balanced shot or a trip or whatnot)
Is the Boone KD rumor legit, I can't find anything on it... Still Boone can bang and will take fights on 3 days notice, no shame in that he's also had Ward and Adonis down.
Kovalev has not fought top fighters yet. But he gets a pass and hype do to his skin color on this forum.
Russians, as a general people.. Kovy, GGG, Provy,Klitschkos.. And the future Liachenko? O know om missing some names
Stevenson was knocked out (and nearly unconscious) by Boone though. I think it's a good fight either way. Neither fighter wants to take too many flush bombs from the other, that's for sure.
Kovalev was never knocked out by Boone.....................and would knock him out...........................Eastern European fighters are coming out more and more and more................
