It really depends on whether your goal is to get the fight made. If not, you'll keep changing the terms. Now of course things change and at some point Pac was no longer worth 50/50, but there's a huge difference between 50/50 and a 40m flat fee. Same with testing, if 14 days was ok 3 months ago, why would 7 days not suffice then?

 

He didn't have any trouble he beat Bradley easily.

 

If I am the A side, depending on the strength of the fighter I am fighting, I can dictate terms. Floyd thought he was the A side in the first go round but gave in to EVERYTHING that Pac wanted and warned when it died that he would not be so giving next time.

So I guess what you are suggesting is that even though FLoyd is the A side he should give Pac 50-50 just to get the fight done:huh

When Floyd made that 40 mill offer there was not a peep from the other side. Floyd was calling out Manny every chance he got and Uncle Bob would not even pick up the damn phone. It took Floyd calling Manny personal to even get an offer to him. get that . . . FLOYD CALLED MANNY. Like Floyd agreed to everything the first time including 50-50, 10mill/lb, like he signed the first time, like he constantly called out manny every chance he got. On the other hand. Pac decline blood testing, Pac personally hardly ever whispers Floyd's name unless asked, arum said Pac could not fight because of his cut (then Floyd looks like he is going to jail . . . so now it is Ok to fight JMM on that date, FLoyd is not going to jail . . . so now we need to build a stadium. Finally, 4 years later we agree on testing.

to me it seems like one side was serious about the fight and the other is building a stadium to no where.

 

Calling him with a humiliating, slap in the face offer is not something he should get credit for. Hell even Cotto got some PPV upside, as did Canelo. He made a point of saying no upside for Pac. The only way you'd take that stance with the other superstar in boxing is if you don't want the fight made.

Of course 50/50 is no longer an option, but even now a percentage split is the only way to go, 60/40 or closer. Under 60/40 Floyd gets 50% more (or much more when you factor in Arum's share), which IMO is excessive, provided Pac reestablishes himself.

Then again, not long ago Floyd said the only way Pac gets that fight is if he signs to his promotion.

Why do people still makes theses threads its like a bunch of kids going back and forth, you got Mayweather fans arguing the fight didn't happen because of drug testing and Pacquiao fans arguing it didn't happen because he got his pride/feelings hurt get over it and let it go. Ain't nobody getting paid off this fight so who cares if its 50/50, 60/40, 80/20 who cares, most jobs do random drug testing so how is that a big deal. I will say this though unless Pacquiao wins its gonna be worse if your a fan of his because its doubtful he even gets 40 mil now, so if that fight goes as expected sadly Pacquiao is the one that's gonna look stupid.
