Boone is a banger, as he has shown to big names like Ward, Stevenson and Kovalev.

He probably doesn't have a top class chin, but it's good enough to dominate LHW in the near future if no new superstar comes along.

I did some research on the subject at the chin laboratory, and I found out that MVC is right. Kovalev was indeed sent to the canvas against the bum from Ohio.
I think MVC might be on to something, Kovalev could very well pack a Russian set of glass mandibles.

I am btw sorry that I wasn't aware of this irrefutable fact (which is my duty as an expert chin checker). Props to MVC to bring this information to the masses.

Kovalev, Ward, Stevenson (was Ktfo). Darnell Boone is the chinchecker.

One of those guys who coulda been a real contender had he had any kinda real promoter or proper management. Kid only started boxing when he was about 20 or so - ended up in the gym 'cos there was no-one else to take his little brother. Apparently one of his first spars was Pavlik...

Anyways, hard to say with Kovalev, I'm a big fan, but I think he lets it hang out a bit much while concentrating on the offense, I have seen him take a good few flush shots though, so I think that Easter Island jaw's probably as sturdy as it looks.

Ain't really co-incidental is it tho'? Europeans who followed the ams know these fighters and are happy to see them do well (though I've gotta admit I missed out on the Klits am Careers) in the pros. Unless you're trying to suggest something else?

OK, misinterpreted, my bad. But yeah, I think the amateur points scoring system encouraged a really aggressive fighting style, and now that's percolating through to the pros we're seeing a resurgence in offensive (and crowd pleasing) fighters - Kovalev, GGG, Ruslan, Loma, Beterbiev and I'm sure more to come.

I ain't gonna say that they are all suddenly about to dominate the sport, but certainly they are a welcome addition.

EDIT: Well done, reeled me right in:oops:

Ward and Stevenson have also tasted the canvas against this guy, it's funny how one journeyman level fighter has floored the 3 best fighters in and around the LHW today.

Kovalev has a decent chin, it's his defence thats suspect. Too easy to hit to beat Stevenson

Yeah i agree on this, BUT many fools here hyped Cleverly to be good champion and he destroyed him like he fought a child...reality is Cleverly was nothing more than Ottke like champion...

    An irrefutable glass jaw!

People like to rip on Ward for getting knocked down by Boone, so Kovalev deserves the same treatment!

Kovalev has a glass jaw, it's undeniable.

What's your angle? Why don't you call out the people who happen to like floyd, broner, b hop and ward? Is that a "neat" coincidence to you too?

Well i would not say that at all, I for one am huge Kovalev fan respect very much GGG and Vitali, absolutely hate Wlad somethinmes because of his safety first grab grab style (WITH ALL THAT TALENT), Lomachenko and Usyk are interesting but not best in the world like delusional fans think after one fight...

A lot of the Ward hate is also generated (and rightfully so) by the fact that he only fights in Joakland with biased refs and refuses drug testing.
He may also have a glass jaw, but that isn't entirely proven yet, but it is probable.

Wlad doesn't have great boxing talent that's why he clinches every 2 minutes
