Great vid. If i were to fight, i would fight with his type of style and mentality. From utilizing the jab, to being well rounded, defense first, being a pin point shooter instead of a combo thrower. He gets it. I especially love how he stressed the jab. I always watch fights and wonder why they aren't they jabbing more. It's so simple and basic. The jab sets everything up from offense to defense.

Tim Bradley also stresses the jab. Doesn't have a piston like jab but he's always pumping it out there to close distance or simply control the distance.

 

Ward didn't say that, Smitty did.

 

that jab to the stomach is a helluva tool Floyd uses it better than anyone i have ever seen.....i dont get the knock on Floyd's Offense

 

The more I see of Ward the more I like him. His technique and versatility is what has separated him from the rest of the division.

Not really a knock, more of a preference: Smitty happens to like guys who throw more combinations than Floyd does and the shoulder roll or Philly crab style or whatever you want to call it isn't designed for combination punching. Andre explained very well how it Works.

I can see that many Europeans still hate Ward with a passion. I mean he dismantled Kessler, Froch and Abraham so it's completely understandable. Let the butthurt flow right through you.

 

Only a casual **** could hate on this guy. He's on another level.

 

Ward masters his craft the same way Floyd, Rigo and Hopkins do. :good

 

Go watch the amateurs if its too "dirty" for you buddy.
The pro game is rife with people doing stuff like that, no point deduction would have saved Kessler anyway you need to be able to defend yourself and handle tactics like that.

some of these referees suck. some of the only good ones are earl brown, kenny bayless and steve smoger. that ref in the ward-kessler fight might as well been invisible because he did not do ****
