I'd like to see it but I'd also like to see GGG unify.

its a real pity that HBO/SHO don't want to work together for whatever reason to give good fights to the boxing fans. :-:)-(

I'm pretty sure Quillin is more than happy knowing that he probably won't fight 3G cuz he's with SHO. :yep

I have seen the opposite but why would you want to put an exciting fighter like GGG in with a boring one like Ward? We have seen how these types of fights pan out and it is usually boring.

Quite honestly both these guys need to move up for various reasons, Ward should move up to establish himself as a great he has already cleaned out his division he won't find HOF type glory fighting rematches with guys he's already dominated or fighting a Chavez jr in a money grab. If he can move to 175 and rule as he has at 168 he can set himself up as a bona fide great.

Golovkin is in a similar position, while I would like to see GGG prove his worth by cleaning out MW before moving up, if he can't get a top 5 fighter in the ring at 160 staying there beating no hopers is going to make him a more hyped Calzage. For him he has one of two choices make himself the mandatory for any of the other belt holders at MW an force them to fight or vacate there title. The other would be move up and chase glory like so many fighters before him have.

Ward is probably in a little better of a position because he has already beaten the other top fighters in his division, but with GGG already in his 30's with no real note worthy wins his window of opportunity to prove himself as a great isn't as big.

Quillin is at best a lower top 10 middleweight. Thats if he is even in the top 10.
Why even discuss him in terms of GGG?
I suppose desperate US fans are clutching at straws?

    Lets all be honest here:

    At 168; Ward > Froch > GGG

160 might be a bit different but both Ward and Froch are incredibly conditioned to 168 and a move up in weight is a big ask, bigger than any other jump in weight class. Jumping down in weight is an even taller ask. Having to cut to meet either of those (who've been at that weight more or less their entire career), would be a lot harsher than say; GGG moving down to meet Alvarez at 154.

People need to get real with GGG. Yes he looks good owning the 160 division and I don't doubt he could make some noise at 168 but Ward/Froch are different levels. Ward would potshot and outbox him all night to a (probable whitewash) UD win; Froch would stand and slug; earning either a late tko or again, a UD.

Let's be honest, you don't know that. Stop hyping Froch like he's a beast whereas his best win is a fragile Bute he caught cold and a washed up Kessler. He was a few seconds away from losing to Jermaine Taylor for christ sake ! :patsch

160 is weak, Quillin is top 5 - but that's not saying much.

That said, Golovkin has yet to beat somebody with a pulse. Come back if/when he does...
