Floyd's skills are undeniable. He obviously works hard in the gym and like few others he actually works on improving his skills where most just train the same and get in the ring with the "I'm gonna do what I do" mentality. He is the best, I just think his opponent choices have magnified that.

Looking at his recent resume, and omissions though you see a very predictable pattern. What do Canelo, Guerrero, Cotto, Mosley (the version that Floyd fought) have in common? Well documented stamina issues. And getting Canelo to shave off 2 more pounds was brilliant from a Floyd Mayweather perspective. (I think Canelo's stupid gameplan was much more of a factor than cardio though.) Any fight is a risk, but these were well calculated risks.

What do Paul Williams, Margarito and Manny have in Common? high volume punchers that don't get frustrated when they miss with a lot of punches. I think any one of these guys would have given Floyd a coin toss fight. Tim Bradley would also give Floyd some problems because of his pressure. (although he is a bit too reckless)

Floyd will go down as the best boxing business related fighter of all time. I doubt any other fighter makes nearly as much money with the level of comp he fought. He didn't always fight who the fans wanted but put yourself in a fighters shoes... would you rather be Ali, Gatti, Toney, Frazier or Mayweather? Fans of any fighter are kidding themselves if they can't see that $ is the number one driver for all fighters. Boxing is heavily flawed and to expect the best to "prove" themselves is a pipedream for us, the fans. It is what it is. When they do take those tough fights, we should be appreciative. Boxing is so tied to gambling that it will never be the ideal.

Pacquiao and Bradley would be interesting fights against legit champs and HOFers Pacquiao hid behind his promoter and Bradley has recently said as long as he's with top rank a Mayweather fight is impossible.

Margarito and Williams no those are two overhyped bums who really didn't do or accomplish a thing in the sport are people that mad he didn't fight them and instead fought guys better because that makes no sense to me. How the hell with a straight face mention Mosley as being lesser when he beat the **** outta Margarito before facing Mayweather in a combined 90 fights the only notable wins you can mention is possibly cheating Cotto and two robberies over Martinez and Lara

I agree that Pac and Bradley have not made a fight with Floyd any easier. Bradley signing with Top Rank bascally guaranteed that wouldn't happen, and Pacs blood test stance was flat out ridiculous.

As for PWill and Marg it is about style matchups. Are either better than Floyd? H*ll no. Was Ken Norton a better boxer than Ali? No. He was a B level fighter and he beat Ali. Paul Williams "beat" Lara with his volume punches and if you don't think that judges would be impressed to see someone throw that much leather at Mayweather and possibly give rounds to PWIll, then you haven't watched enough boxing. How much he landed would be irrelevant. At the time when a Margarito fight was in demand, no one knew he was a useless cheater, and Mosleys win over him means little, as everyone was destroying Margarito after that.
