I keep hearing Groves can win if he uses the tactics he used against Degale. He moved and used movement looking to score points then get back out. BUT he didn't do it very well! That was a very very close fight and Groves looked far from slick. He got hit an awful lot and even got rocked a few times so I don't know where all this talk about being slick has come from because it certainly cant be this fight. I think because he was the heavy underdog people are overestimating his performance. Don't get me wrong he has decent head movement and footwork but he's VERY hittable. He's nowhere near as slick as Andre Direll.

Also please remember Degale is a natural counter puncher who is useless at pressuring his opponents and hits nowhere near as hard as Carl Froch.

People picking Groves to win full stop is ******ed, Boxing is all about levels and Froch is a level above. If Groves wasn't getting paid so much i would feel sorry for him about this fight.

^And then he'll rematch and brutally beat Ward, assuming it's not in scummy yankeeville with Ward's dope and bribed officials.

A lot of boxing people seem to think Froch loses this fight....I cant say who wins...

Nothing in the build up has swayed me from my view that Froch will stop Groves 8th onwards.

For me it's come a bit too early for Groves & really can't see the link of the template for beating Froch being DeGale chalk & cheese as fighters.

I am picking Groves because i feel Froch is losing the mental battle , he appears to be too angry and i feel that will lead to him fighting different , he will make more mistakes and get punished for them , Groves will be too fast and slick for Froch

    Thats my feeling anyway

Whilst I think Groves will get whooped, I also fully realise people have a right to voice their opinions.

Yes each to their own opinion wise just think the OP is correct in the fact he can't see a link between Groves beating DeGale & it being a link to beating Froch.

One thing I would say to the posters that think GG will win 7/2 on offer generally on him to win decent odds if you think he can pull it off!

If it goes to points I will be amazed, both fighters really want to win so I expect a really good fight. Realistically it would be refreshing for british boxing if groves wins but a just don't think he has the power to stop froch and there is no way over 12 rounds froch won't land cleanly and when he does I think its all over. Groves has beat nobody, degale is a B standard fighter. Froch all day long for me

Makes me laugh when ppl say groves won the mental battle and froch will fight with a red mist LOL, who do u take froch for? He is a professional boxer, no2 in the division, he will deal with groves in whichever way the fight unfolds. Sure groves has a chance, he can bang, so a puncher's chance. I expect froch win via TKO in the second half, if not then UD.

Yeah but do you expect froch to be out the night before the fight taking drugs with Japanese hookers?

I'm not picking Grove based on the DeGale fight. I'm picking him based on the fact he's a more versatile and overall better fighter than Froch. He's also on a upward curve and like Stevenson was, much underrated by the masses.
