Any explanation other than injury would be pretty bad. If it's due to knee problems then we can just forget about Solis all together.

This must be some kind of a record though. First the Carlos Takam fight falls through and then the fight VS Kevin Johnson falls through. I don't remember a fighter having two such potentially interesting fights scheduled in such a short period that do not materialize.

On the bright side however weak the light is if and that's a big if Odlanier Solis pulled out of this fight cause he has another fight lined up sometime soon VS either Lucas Browne or Artur Spilzka then those fights would be more interesting then seeing Solis end Kevin Johnsons career. The problem is that if either of those fights now get booked for the next months or weeks it's going to be very difficult to believe that they'll actually ever happen.

either way the explanation will be a giant lie.
any promoter who wastes money putting together an event for this guy to headline in the future need to take note. same as any potential opponent....solis is garbage for pulling out of another fight, especially less than a week away :-(

No people don't lie 100% of the time. It's very possible that team Solis goes on record now citing a reoccurring knee injury and then we'll see the proof of it in Solis never stepping into the ring again. If it's the flue or something else then yes, the explanation might not be all that credible. Lets just wait for it to come now.
