Everyone here thinking JMM is sure to beat Pac ignoring the fact that Pac will likely come in as a favourite again and was on his way to cementing a clear cut win over JMM in the 4th fight, either by decision or stoppage. JMM knows this, if he's so sure he could beat Pacquiao again he would have taken $13mil in a heartbeat. Typical of JMM, he turned down Pac for a rematch a decade ago and went on to lose to Chris John, then does the same thing here and goes on to lose to Bradley.
Pac's been on his way to "cementing a clear cut" win since first round of first fight and still has not come close yet:deal
Not sure how anyone could say Pac was on his way to a clear cut win in that fight, to be honest He was dropped twice in 6 rounds, with a mere 1 point difference on each judges cards at the time of the stoppage. Given how aggressively he was fighting (which was a double edged sword, it wins rounds but leaves him vulnerable), how anyone can say what was going to happen in the next 6 is just mind boggling lol. He got stopped in the 6th, not the 11th or 12th.
Should Marquez still get into these tough fights? Guy is 40, he needs to get out with his health still fine.
I agree. And even though I thought Pac was doing very well and was winning, Marquez was landing HUGE punches too. He looked seriously hurt at one point but otherwise, he was landing great shots.
rios ko's querrero and ortiz who was being praised and considered by most joyboys like you as a "legit threat."
Don't get so defensive, up until the 4th fight JMM hasn't ever come close to cementing a clear victory either, and wala. Watch the fight, except for the round JMM KD Pac, Pac was winning every round and had JMM badly hurt in the 5th. Good chance Pac stops JMM in a 5th fight, also good chance JMM gives Pac another devastating KO given that he knows Pac so well by now and would time him just as well, if not better than in the 4th fight.
That fact doesn't serve any purpose though, unless you're just trying to be a smart ass. I'd rather discuss what we saw in the fight, and not arbitrary facts like 3 fights no cement win hurr durr. I haven't seen the fight in a long time so not sure, but pretty sure Pac won 2,4 & 5 clearly and was well on his way to winning the 6th. Put it this way, up until that last 10 seconds in the 6th round, nobody would have put their money on JMM winning that fight, it did look like Pac was well on his way to finally cementing that win, which is my point. Of course its boxing, anything can happen and 1 punch can change it all. And yes it was only the 6th round and not the 12th, but my point stands, at that point in the 6th round, no one would have put their money on JMM. That hasn't been the case since Pac-JMM 1 1st round, and perhaps Pac-JMM 2 on the KD round(forgot which round) and even then after the KD, still a close fight.
Pac-JMM 5 would sell big, especially if Pac beats the sh!t out of Rios....but that remains to be seen. The Floyd fight will never happen.
So you don't want to discuss facts, only YOUR opinion. Yeah OK and how in the hell was Pac on his way to "cementing that win" when even you had him ahead by one point with at least 6 more rounds to go. If you've learned something from watching the first 3 fights is that JMM has the ability to outbox Pac.
