What's the minimum Ward would have to do to take the p4p #1 spot from Mayweather?

Is there a single win Ward could get that would edge it? Who would he have to face and beat 6 months down the line?

Meet GGG at 168 and if victorious, which i seriously doubt after
tonights "fight" then move up and beat Kovalev, which i'm 100%
certain he'd get ran over. Then he'd be #1, but he wouldn't
    so he won't.

Beat Floyd or wait for Floyd to retire.

Power is overrated. What about a win over GGG alone? Remember, Floyd's recent wins are over a Lightweight C+ fighter and a catchweight win over 23 year old Drainelo Zomberez

Its funny. I was going to say "not much" because Floyd is the most hated on boxer and people will look for a reason to take him off the top spot. It wasnt that long ago where a ton of people had Ward 1 and some even had Floyd down at 3. I say its funny because Ward is now becoming hated by alot of people which is hurting him for overtaking Floyd....lol

Not even Andre Ward agrees with this sentiment. He's well entrenched at number 2 though.

Mayweathwr is doing that as well, and he's no longer in his prime. I'm not sure how you can say Ward is number 1 based in body of work. Mayweather's body of work dates back to 1996. Even current form, I'd give it to Mayweather.

It's not about what he has to do. It's more to do with the day Mayweather retires.

FLoyd would have to retire and then he would have to wait 3 years to make sure Mayweather doesnt make a comeback. There is nothing wrong with being number 2

Floyd would have to retire. If he beat kovalev, Stevenson, and ggg I guess that would make him 1. But his resume is already impressive. And hall of fame worthy.

Maybe take three belts from the other 3 champions in his division for starters :huh

    Stieglitz is a World Champion
    Bika is a World Champion
Froch is a world champion again

If you can't rule your own division, how you are supposed to be #1 P4P

How do I know that Stieglitz is not Ward's Norton?

There's nothing that SOG can do to take the #1 spot.

    It's Floyd's to lose.

There's a considerable gap in skill between the two men, not to mention a gap in resume.

In fact, Ward might not even hold on to # 2 for very long. There's no one for him to fight at 168, and a number of dangerous possibilities at 175.

It would be unrealistic for him to go down to 160, and if he did, GGG would almost certainly beat him there.

He should enjoy #2 while he can.

He cant't do anything that would push him past Floyd.

    Only Khan can.
