People hate seeing black people on top. It's a shame. You think people hate Floyd because he talks so much. And he runs his mouth. Okay. Now here you have Ward. Humble, quiet, respectful. Whatevr. And people are throwing around hate like its on sale. People hate seeing black people on top.
I hate that convenient answer. Put a lil thought into it. ALL fighters on top get hate. Floyd, Pac, Cotto, Jones, GGG, Hatton, Canelo, Calzaghe, Hopkins, Pavlik, Khan, and on and on.
Yep this. Styles make fights and where Froch will school Bute. Bute is all wrong for Ward and would KO him.
Yet Ward isn't black, kid. He's half-cast. Meaning he's half white, half black. People hate on him because he's as dull as dishwater, a shameless ducker, a notorious cheat and avoids drug tests like they're the plague.
It might be racially motivated in some quarters, but that's still the easy get-out-of-jail-free card. The fact is success breeds contempt. Everybody likes a rags-to-riches story but the one thing people like more is to see heroes toppled and humbled. The more successful someone gets, the more people want to see him fail. It's happened to every fighter on top in the history of boxing.
lol at this race baiting ****, I dislike both of them because they bore the hell outta me with the way they fight and I dont like their personalities either in Floyd's case, because he's a cherrypicking hypocrite and blatant coward, so it pisses me off that he's ¨the face of boxing¨ in Ward's case, because of his pushy stance on religion. You can bet whoever nicknames himself ¨Son of God¨ is one self absorbed dbag Adonis Stevenson is one black fighter I like, he runs his mouth but backs it up, he takes on anyone, he delivers exciting matches and KO's. So different from Floydette Andre Bored
Whichever half gives him the genetics that make his fights like watching paint dry, makes him duck opponents and makes him avoid drugs tests like the plague.
Why is a thread like this started, is the man retiring in the next year or so? There's already a fighter who is encountering so much flack for boasting he'll retire undefeated, I dont really get why someone wants to add to the divide by putting Ward's name in it.
