It might be racially motivated in some quarters, but that's still the easy get-out-of-jail-free card. The fact is success breeds contempt. Everybody likes a rags-to-riches story but the one thing people like more is to see heroes toppled and humbled. The more successful someone gets, the more people want to see him fail. It's happened to every fighter on top in the history of boxing.

Adonis Stevenson is one black fighter I like, he runs his mouth but backs it up, he takes on anyone, he delivers exciting matches and KO's. So different from Floydette Andre Bored

Why is a thread like this started, is the man retiring in the next year or so?

There's already a fighter who is encountering so much flack for boasting he'll retire undefeated, I dont really get why someone wants to add to the divide by putting Ward's name in it.
