If you were ggg's promoter, would you rush him to fight Ward?

No, because he's not the linear middleweight champion yet. There's still lots to accomplish at 160.

And Ward is a prima donna who will demand:

    1) fight be in California
    2) fight at 168 instead of a fair catchweight of 164
    3) no random PED testing
    4) his own personal referee who will permit him to foul and protect him if GGG retaliates.

And it will be the first GGG fight that's not exciting, because Ward will be afraid of Gennady and so he'll be clinching even more than he ever has.

GGG ain't exactly young so I wouldn't rule it out. I don't give him a shot against Ward honestly but as nobody at 160 is willing to step up, he might as well give us that fight.

No, why the hell would I want the hype train derailed?

GGG has no chance vs Ward, none!

Why would the fight not be in California? Why should Ward come down while he should fight for the remainder of his career at 168 and above? Its GGG who would want his tittle not the other way around. If asked for BEFORE the fight was finalized, then Ward would do it. No fighter has there own personal referee, because the other fighter has to agree to it *******.

Still too early for that fight in my opinion. There are some intriguing opponents for Golovkin at MW--Quillin, Chavez and of course Sergio. The Ward match can come after, if GGG comes out on top of 160.

Nobody asked Hagler to go up 8 lbs. and quit fighting at middleweight. Stevenson has been called out Ward, but Ward will not even answer him. Stevenson said he would even come down to 168. Of course Ward would have to have his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, commentators and he would refuse to take a PED test..................

Yes, fight him next at the 164 catchweight.
    BUT:
    DO NOT fight in California
    INSIST on PED testing
    Get a NEUTRAL referree

No I would try to get a fight with any of the top MWs, if they don't want it I would try to match him with Froch first before going straight to the 168 lb king.
