If you were ggg's promoter, would you rush him to fight Ward?

NO! Do an Arum and have your fighter pretend and talk like he wants to fight somebody for the publicity but never sign anything. 3G fans will eat that stuff up and start calling Ward a coward, a ducker. They're already calling him boring which is the first step in *******ism.

If they're smart they won't. With that said I hope they do ASAP.

No **** right? Yet Broner needs to move up. We all know 135 is a **** division just like 160 is. Broner could have stayed at 135 and he would be getting killed right now for it. The guy fights at 147 against Paulie in a title fight for his first fight there and is shitted on. Yet GGG doesn't need to move up, ****ing hilarious really.

with my promoter's hat on, not at all. it doesn't make sense for a couple reasons, the first being that he can net more paydays, stay undefeated, and augment his star power by cleaning out the middleweight division first. secondly, although rodriguez and ggg are different fighters, rodriguez is a bigger guy with a longer reach specifically, and ward was essentially able to dominate him with a jab that frankly, looked like the best in boxing on saturday. that's a tall order for a smaller, less experienced fighter, knockout artist or not, taking on a guy who some are calling at the very least, the second best fighter in the sport. as a promoter, this fight would have to increase in demand before I tried to make it happen, simply for the large chance of a loss in return for no positive return other than respect.

I would wait until early 2015 myself. get in three or four more fights, really get the public demanding it.
