In the blink of an eye, huh? So in the span of a single match (a decision over cruiserweight journeyman Willie Herring) between Austin and Arreola, Stiverne improved from a so-so boxer-puncher whom an elderly chinny former contender was able to completely befuddle for nine rounds to "a real threat being ducked by Vitali"?

You sure maybe Arreola didn't just flatter him, being perfectly suited for him stylistically, the way Rogie and Sprott flatter Teper with being dried up and suckers for a halfway decent straight right hand from any big strong young heavyweight?

He was out for more than a year:lol::patsch And yes fighters can improve druing a year. And often fighters fight better when the stage is bigger. Last post for me. And BTW: Teper is clearly european Level like it or not. If you beat Sprott and Rogan like that you are on the european Level. Gerber wasnt because he actually lost to Sprott. (I dont Count the bull**** stoppage in Gerber-Sprott I). :smoke

Exactly! This is crazy. Two marginally impressive results and everyone is ready to anoint him the next big thing despite having probably never seen or heard of him before three months ago.

You can't even say he is having a terrific year, as he only squeaked by Uzbek novice Musafarov by SD in April.

He knocked out two very, very, very, very old men who between them have been knocked out a bunch of times before. (reputations for toughness are not everlasting...toughness degrades over time and both Rogan and Sprott have been dropped and hurt increasingly of late) STOP THE PRESSES!! :wooo

Musafarov has a lot of talent. A close fight against him is not a shame. :hi:
