This is the new thing to do. You know no one 175 and down can beat the man so you resort to calling him boring like that means anything.:rofl:lol: Boring is subjective him handing out boxing lessons isn't.:deal. Ward is the truth he will rule 175 and down for years to come and have you making more hate filled threads because of it. The sooner you accept this the better off you'll be.

OK, so you are infatuated with Ward. Glad he revs your engines. I know what I like to watch and I know Ward does nothing for me. But that's the beauty of a forum, isn't it? You give your opinion, I give mine. If I want to see something pretty I might pick up a copy of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. I don't look for it in the ring.

And, apparently, there are an awful lot of people who feel the way I do.

And, no, he isn't The Truth. That was Carl Williams. No, Ward, is The Son of God. Remember? Yeah, he's that good. The Son of God. Catchy. Witty, too.

But, again, if it works for you, that is all that matters.

some ppl enjoy checkers....i prefer chess.

the boxing u speak of...with all the careless exchanges and very little defense is checkers.

    ward is chess.

Comparing "boring" boxers to chess players(as opposed to checkers) is such a tiresome and stupid analogy.

Yeah, I prefer a boxer who can punch and love to see when they combine their skills and courage in order to try and demolish their opponent as opposed to a skilled boxer who has a safety-first approach.

boring? that's ridiculous. ward dominated a powerful guy with technique, a sharp left hook and piston jab that are two of the most effective and explosive tools in the sport. what a fight. it was far from boring. not every fighter elects to go to war like brandon rios.

He's a draw in the Bay Area. Ward isn't flashy or talk **** or sell himself. If he did he would be a bigger draw nationally but he does just fine in the Bay Area.

It`s called BOXING ... Not brawling or slugging, boxing... The intent isn`t to take hits to the face, excite the fans and have a short career as a one-dimensional slugger. It`s an art, craft and when done right incredibly skilled. Now while I agree that Ward/Gatti is incredible(fights like that) but, they are not top tier champs... Say what you want but the man hasn`t lost since he was 12 ! I am sure I`m not alone in being a fan who enjoys watching a class act fighter, box the ears off a supposed threat... Hey I still like watching Hopkins out think and outslick the kids he schools...Say what you want but he is whipping all of them ! And when the tournament started the division was stacked...

The only thing he doesn`t posses is heavy hands, so I guess that makes him a lousy boring fighter ??? He out jabs everyone with a trip hammer of a jab. Has excellent in-fighting skills for a guy who primarily boxes. Is he rough inside ? Sure he is !!But hey who are Duran, Frazier, Hatton Gomez, Zivic etc etc anyway ???

Nor the apparent willingness to take chances which is part of the reason a lot of boxing fans call him boring. Ward is a superbly skilled boxer who is just not that exciting to watch. Why some of you refuse to accept this and continue to get
offended when it's pointed out :-(
