Demori shouldnt be discussed when talking about our heavies.......he's not on their level nor has the balls to really test himself........just likes filling up his fight log with W's against nobodies.

How can you rag on De Mori after already realising that his promoter isn't actually doing a job for him?

He'll be the first to admit that his level of opponent is under par but try to remember he's doing all his own management right now. He realised he was stagnating last year and so made the move to Europe (with his missus).

Bare in mind also that it's extremely difficult to get a pro fight in Germany without the right connections. So he made the connections, contacted virtually everyone involved in promotion, filtered out the chaff and got a fight within 2 weeks of landing. Essentially, he and his wife were backpackers.

I was told over and over by people I know that it would be impossible to get a fight in Germany since no-one knows him and no-one would pay him. He managed to arrange himself THREE fights in April and won them all. He had no trainer so moved to Croatia, found a gym and found people to help him improve.

I've got nothing but admiration for the lad. He's not a Sauerland, K2 or SES fighter who has backing or money behind him. He's making it all happen by himself and so it'll take time to bust up through the rankings (although WBA had him at #15 last time I checked).

I understand how easy it is to knock someone just by looking at their record but I have a feeling 2014 is the year that Mark is put back in the mix.

Massive understatement. Even his mate Browne is pointing the finger at him on facebook.

doesn't read like a compliment from Browne:

@MarkdeMori well done mate, but time to step up I think... Can't keep fighting no bodies if you want that big title.. You have the talent.

lucas is the last person to be bragging. he fought a 83yo blimp three fights ago, and towers was far from anything special.
and he is lucky walker was only here for a payday and seemed to have had very limited preparation or enthusiasm. no that's not lucas' fault though.

yes he is slowly stepping it up, but he could do much better himself too.

Until Demori challenges himself & fights someone that can actually fight then he gets the pastings........I'd respect him more if he fought a real challenger & got beat instead of padding his fight log with nobodies.

lucas is moving at the right pace, he is still learning and he knows this and he knows he has a lot more work to do, so the more "blimps" as you put it he can get to fight between now and when he fights price the better although because of his record it will be hard to get inbetween fights, "Lucky Lucas" is the best/ most active HW we have at the moment, depending on result of Leapi and Boystov, but lucas is ranked higher than both fighters at present.. and imo lucas would Ko Leapi within 8rds

  14. From The West Australian newspaper: One outside possibility is that Price could look to find his feet against Perth's Mark de Mori, who is now based in Croatia and is No19 in the WBC ratings.

However, Browne dismissed that idea, tweeting: "demori won't fight someone who can punch back".

the point is, he doesn't have a resume to be giving others stick about their opponents. both their resume's r equally padded.

fwiw, alex is ranked higher than lucas.

and I'm yet to see anything from lucas that tells me he is better than alex or Solomon, or that he should be favoured against them. there's probably not a lot between all of them really.
