Vitali's resume may be a little weak but some of his feats are actually amazing

Dont get me wrong that fight needed to be stopped that cut was bad but don't act like lewis was dominating at that point another round or 2 he probably would of been stopped lewis was exhausted and Vit was a duration puncher he punished you until the later rounds then finished you off take away the cut and more then likely he stops lewis late.. there is a reason that Lewis retired when he was forced to rematch Vitali lewis was still trying to secure a fight and even promised a rematch if Vit beat Johnson then when he did and the day they ordered lewis to rematch he retires...

 

Much of this debate is mindless factless banter based on emotion and bias. it's difficult to give a quantatative opinion of his greatness by # of punches etc that's why you can go back and forth forever

I will state that I have NEVER seen someone take a full out uppercut like the one VK took against Lewis and keep coming. Vitali is fun to watch and easy to admire both for his conduct in the ring and his conduct outside the ring.

He destroyed everyone that was put in front of him with one exception (LL) and he is universally recognized as the best heavyeight in the last 20 years.

VK is a great fighter and def an ATG

Lewis was exhausted against Vitali. The shot hadn't even the same mustard on it.
