Kovalev has a fight coming up, then it's a possibility he might fight Stevenson, well, Stevenson has a fight also. However, the big money would be Stevenson/Ward, Golovkin wants to fight Martinez, they are working on that fight, also trying to fight Quillin, they are in his weight division. If Golovkin decides to go up to another division, then he will surprise a lot of people, but he needs to make big money. Ward/Stevenson would be a huge fight, but again, Ward would have to have his home town, ref, judges, commish, etc., and he won't take a PED test..........
If Ward does make GGG look like an amateur I hope it's like when Golovkin smashed Bute's chin type of amateur.
Stop talking with lil kids. Floyd fans i know want him to take the best fight possible cause we dont get tired of seeing perfection.
looks like this is turning into another "he doesn't have to fight -insert name- because he would win anyway" bullcrap deal. Avoid the biggest challenges, and hope you win by default if the opponent loses to another guy. :-(
Triple G is a small middlweight. Just compare him to Hopkins, Pavlik or Jr. Wardtke should look at 168 and 175 for his next fights.
Ward is a ****ing wuss trying to pick on a smaller man, but GGG would end up stopping him anyways. Why doesn't b.itch boy step up to 175 and fight stevenson or kovalev? Stevenson called his ass out already. Ward is such a *****
I don't get how Ward getting slightly annoyed at all the GGG questions (which is what provoked this response) has to do with any of the agendas being pushed here. I'm a big GGG fan, but the simple fact is that he hasn't called Ward out (neither has the increasingly vocal Sanchez). Equally Ward hasn't called out triple G. Wards comments are a simple statement of fact - he's kinda saying 'why all the damn GGG questions when that fight ain't even under consideration at the moment?'...he actually specifies that fighters being 'scared' just isn't a factor in matchmaking - it just isn't how it works, they're all pros. This is potentially a great match-up down the line but makes far more sense (for both fighters) once Golovkins credentials are better established
If a fight happened at 154 between Floyd and 3G and Floyd wins, would Floyd detractors really give him full credit or say 3G was drained for the fight? That is the double standard that has been set for Floyd. Also, if you were Floyd, would you take a fight with 3G? Lets be realistic, 3G hasn't beat any top guys, regardless of the reasons, he is a relative unknown in the sport and at this point he is a high risk low reward fight for Floyd. I still maintain that Floyd can fight 3G at 160 and still beat him. Floyd is too smart for 3G. FM takes away his power by keeping 3G turning all night, off setting him and disrupting his offense, never letting 3G get set to throw those bombs.:bbb
He wont get the Quillen fight and Dibekka wants canelo and cotto for Martinez before he even thinks of putting him in there with gg. Plus gg is 31 there arent any other big fights. Step up an take the L an a payday as bonus.
