    how we define a casual?

for me it is someone that gets all their boxing info from sky

believes froch is this unbeatable killing machine who finishes opponents as soon as he lands

Seems to think that eddie is any different to the other promoters, just because he is a youngish bloke who tweets n talks bollocks with Kugan

uses the simple logic of A beat B and B beat C so A must beat C

    ADD YOURS

    THESE ARE JUST A COUPLE

What makes you so different? What gives you the right to define a person in a bad way because they enjoy watching boxing 'casually'.

Personally I find 'hardcore' boxing fans a pain in the ass, know it alls who would never have the balls to step in the ring themselves. 'In the know' people who make up stuff on the spot. Hardcore but go to 1 fight a year at a push and lambast people for trying to make good boxing events.

If it wern't for those 'casual' people some fights couldn't happen. Even Canelo v Mayweather wouldn't of happened.

Stop being such a fukcing snob.

The ones that always quote what this "expert" said about that fighter or fight go straight to the casual/full retatd bin straight away. They will back up an arguement/discussion by saying even he says x fighter will beat y fighter as though they know better, when they dont.Look how many pundits and ex boxers call fights so ****ing wrong that its unbelievable so i prefer my boxing chats with fans that have their own minds.
Theres one particulary irish paddy that i used to talk with and he was a pure nightmare, quoting every single one that backed his thinking but dissmissed everyone that thought otherwise.

I don't agree with your list at all. Some die hard boxing fans do those things so its a completely wrong description. A casual is someone enjoys the sport but only really watches the big fights and wouldnt know a huge amount if you tried to talk to them about boxing.

Blast casual fans for knowing nothing or little about boxing but yet complain that boxing is losing it's mainstream appeal. Rather than talk to the so called 'casual' fans and try to explain something about the sport, involve them, get them hooked, some people would rather just rip the p1sz and put them off it.

Another interesting thread might be "what makes you a 'hard core' boxing fan"?

For me somebody who only really knows about the big fights and fighters .I think it's hillarious when somebody hasn't a clue and tries to match a featherweigh with a middleweight or something lol . I remember somebody did it with Groves on skysports news and he said no he's not the same weight as me i'm more likley to fight Carl Froch .

Someone who thinks that the P4P 'title' can be won by defeating the current P4P fighter.
Someone who follows a single boxer primarily because of race.

    People who call boxers cowards.

people who just support one big named fighter.

People who say a fighter is boring just because he doesn't get the KO often.

The only person I've heard talking about winning the P4P world title was Ricky Hatton.

You're on a bit of a sticky wicket on this one but calling out Eddie Hearn as the same type of second hand car salesman as the rest of the promotors is spot on.

I suppose it does really, however although annoying sometimes casuals are important to the sport.
