Stiverne is getting BLOCKED from a fight with Klitschko by Don King

STIVERNE LAWSUIT: VITALI KLITSCHKO PLANNING A FEBRUARY 2014 FIGHT

Legal papers filed by heavyweight contender Bermane Stiverne against promoter Don King reveal that a February 2014 WBC title defense is currently being planned by Vitali Klitschko. Stiverne, the WBC's mandatory contender, is seeking emergency relief from J. Paul Oetken, a federal judge, that would stop King from interfering in the negotiations. According to Stiverne, Klitschko is considering bypassing Stiverne and going to the next-highest rated boxer because of King's intereference. That boxer would likely be Chris Arreola or Deontay Wilder, rated #2 and #3 respectively by the WBC. Because Klitschko has announced his intention to run for the presidency of the Ukrainian Republic, his boxing future was considered uncertain.

UPDATE: The court has informed Stiverne's attorneys that it will not consider his request until all of the defendants have been properly served with a full set of the legal papers.

On Novermber 1st, Stiverne, the WBC's mandatory contender and silver title holder, sued his promoter of record, Don King and Don King Productions, Inc., his co-manager of record, Carl King and Elite Sports and Entertainment, Inc. and Don King's long-time employee Dana Jamison, claiming he was forced to hire Carl King as his co-manager in violation of the Muhammad Ali Act. In the two weeks since the lawsuit was filed, Stiverne's other co-manager, Camille Estephan, says in a sworn statement that Don King has threatened to do "everything in his power to prevent Stiverne from getting any more boxing bouts whatsoever", effectively starving him out of his boxing career.

According to legal papers filed last night in New York City, "Estephan is currently in the process of working with the management team representing WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko to negotiate and sign a bout agreement between Klitschko and Stiverne. It is hoped and expected that both heavyweight boxers will be ready for their bout inapproximately 15 weeks, in February, 2014. The bout is expected to occur in Las Vegas, Dubai, or another major world boxing venue.

According to Stiverne's attorneys, an emergency court order preventing Don and Carl King and Jamison from interfering with the negotiations is needed because, "without this requested relief, King is very likely to interfere in the fight and Stiverne will be unable to contend for the WBC heavyweight belt... Exclusively because of King’s threats, the management team representing Klitschko is considering tendering a bout agreement to a boxer ranked lower than Stiverne for the WBC heavyweight championship bout." :fire****ING king...go away your time is done...This SUCKS Stiverne is no spring chicken any more and has earned his chance...

 

Stiverne, a legit mandatory for over a year now, he fought twice to be mandatory, is being screwed big time. It sucks, he fought his a..ss off, and being blocked by crooks.

 

Really sucks for him. He's one of the few fighters who really earned a shot at the title.

 

Hard to believe that in this day and age that a fighter of today does not know about King's greed.Too bad for the fighter but he is incredibly STUPID to sign with King.atsch

 

No matter what Don King does Stiverne is mandatory and if Vitali pass him by he should be stripped right away.

Don King has hated the Klitsckos for years now, since they would not sign with him, they were too smart. Vitali is in no way afraid to fight Stiverne, but he does not have years to wait for such a fight. I think Vitali will fight Wilder since Wilder is ranked # 3 WBC, then when Stiverne is free, if in time, he will fight him. Vitali has already stopped Arreola in LA, something Ward will never do, fighting outside of his home town............

I still do not know why Wilder is ranked # 3 WBC without fighting anyone ranked period, sounds like cheating to me....................MIKE TYSON told everyone about being cheated by Don King, there are so many boxers who have been destroyed by King.............Watch Tyson on HBO..............he tells it like it is............

K2 are worse than any Don King. K2 have far more power than King at this stage of his life. Sauerland were able to reclaim back their title soon after he and Jones took it from Lebadev.

Vitali just doesn't want to fight Stervine and has the currupt power to get away with it.

 

I don't get it...
Stiverne is a Don King fighter, wich means he's stupid but that's besides the point. But it also means that with him being mandatory King will make big bucks over him (60/40 split, with King probably making 20% of Stiverne's purse like he used to = 8% of the total purse) when he fights Vitali.

I can get Vitali bypassing Stiverne for more money and a even easier defence.
But why does King block the fight? That doesn't make sense... Or am I missing something?

If true, Vitali should be stripped butt naked for ducking Stiverne.

 

It is Vitali blocking the fight as evedienced by the excuses he has been making..
The only way Vitali makes more money is by fighting voluntary where the opponent gets peanuts. If he does that he should be stripped on the spot and its most likely what he will do and still will not be stripped.
Wlad is in the process of doing the same with Pulev. Both these mopes need to retire from boxing.

 

Then why is Stiverne suing King and not Vitali and/or the WBC?
It's clear Vitali doesn't want the fight, but there is more to it. He can't just Mayweather the challenge away like that, there have to be other parties involved.
