Because Vitali has strategically shifted the blame over to King. Stiverne should be suing Vitali and the WBC.
k2 are currupting this sport worse than any King.

Sue them for what? They didn't breach any contract with him nor threaten him with anything.

Maybe for holding him up? He has earned this fight by WBC rules. But if they can to agreements now, that would be a little weird to do.

    the great DON KING
already has one pending law suit against...he is probably trying to keep pushing the court date back to keep this poor guy paying legal fees. it was filed in 2012....anyone that signs with the guy this day and age deserve to be **** on after this latest swindle

Joseph Agbeko Sues Don King, Alleges Short Payment on Seven Fights

Two-time former bantamweight titlist Joseph Agbeko has filed a lawsuit in New Jersey against promoter Don King, alleging that he was shortchanged on payments in seven fights.

The suit also says King and his company, Don King Productions, violated the federal Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act, which was enacted in 2000 partially to protect boxers from exploitation. ...

and had $21,000 taken from him in the form of deductions, the suit alleges. ... According to the suit, King and his company failed to prove the deductions were legitimate or document their compensation following that fight. The court papers also allege King and his company failed to pay the Internal Revenue Service all the taxes owed on what they took from Agbeko’s winnings.

One must be very stupid to sign Don King. Everyone is suing King at some point. So it is Bermane's fault.

I, personally, don't see Vitali fighting again Arreola unless he is forced to. He beat him easily once and now it would be the same.

A Wilder fight is simply impossible, having in mind how slowly they bring him. Vitali would be the last person Wilder's people would pick for a fight. It is not going to happen.

I think that WBC give Vitali till the end of November to make up his mind. I hope his next fight will be announced soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vitali announces his retirement on Nov 30th. If he didn't want to retire, why wait this long? He's obviously just hogging the belt as long as possible, like Lewis did.

What Vitali gains if he keeps it as long as possible? Few months will not make a big difference. He needs it till 2015 when he will run for presidency. He cannot keep it that long without fighting.

Don King finds uneducated boxers from poor families and cons them with them signing bonuses which seem a lot to someone who never had anything.

Then he takes advantage of them and often ruins them with inactivity.

The old saying "The Devil is in the details"

Money and purse splits are not the issue the issue is in "future rights" to fighters both Arum and K2 contracts are set up to claim some kind of future rights on opponents of their fighters when there is a big name involved, or even title on the line.

The issue is that neither Don King or K2 or willing to for go this. Stiverne is suing King because King has no leverage or reason to ask of this.

K2 feels they have the name, the title and the legacy to have the right to demand it.

King wants it because he feels like after his fighter fights he is done
