We all know we can't trust German officials, promoters or doctors. Why is David Haye listening to German doctors advice when they tell him he should "strongly consider retirement".

The Germans surely aren't unbiased and might give him bad advice just to get an elite contender out of the HW playing field.

We can't trust US and UK doctors and officials either, as we get reminded of that over and over again.

So why is a German doctor any different? :blood

And it's somewhat of a very sad conspiracy theory isn't it?

Don't you think its strange we hear how Haye is contemplating retirement, straight out of surgery while still in ICU in Germany -- without even double checking the results with a leading British clinic?

We all know the track record of German doctors for their home-town fighters (see Charr being robbed in Moscow, or Abraham carried through the Miranda fight), so I find it slightly disconcerting that the most exciting and money-generating HW fighter isn't taking their so-called advice with at least a grain of salt.

Especially for sports medicine there are some really good phsicians here in Germany.
If you´re a soccer fan, you probably have heard the name Dr. Müller Wohlfarth. Athletes from all over the world come to him.

    Ha, good one.

Yeah, cos I remember Haye going on about how he was only eating British food prior to the Wlad fight I think it was cos he didn't trust any of that "dodgy European stuff"!

i find it strange that as soon as the fight was cancelled , within days the surgery was scheduled and done. who all of the sudden goes "ow my shoulder hurts" and the next few days goes under the knife..... you would think he would have seen several doctors and only went through with the surgery as a last resort and have it done in the country where you live..... do the germans have some medical break through in shoulder surgery we dont know about?

Haye is popular in Germany. RTL were pushing for a Haye/Vitali fight. They hired him as a pundit out there in the past to hype future fights. The Germans like Haye.

Haye needed something big, something like surgery to get out of the Fury fight without being sued up to the eyeballs.

Ha - Shipman was my GFs GP - we used to live in Hyde just a little up the road from the Hatton Gym (cept it used to be a printworks back then). Funny thing was he was the most popular Doctor in town. :patsch

WRT Haye, I mean come on - really? 'Dodgy German Doctor Conspiracy Revealed' - couldda got it straight outta the Daily Mail ...some people:roll:

K2 couldn't KO Haye inside the ring so they KO him in the operating room.

Maybe because they will tell him what he wants to hear.

I guess he had a second opinion and visited British phycisians priory to that. I doubt anyone, even one not involved in sports, would undergo a surgery with only one opinion.

Gaye is still young. It is a smart thing to lay low for awhile. Wait a little bit to see if Vitali gets elected. I guess Gaye would put some resourses into that particualr election.

He probably saw how German doctors were able to save Charrrrrrr from bleeding to death and decided he'd be safest in their hands
