The Double Standard of Freddie Roach.... This guy is a COMPLETE disgrace to OUR SPORT

I'm sick of this nonsense to be 100% honest with you. His acts a few days ago against team rios were 100000% out of line. Yeah maybe team rios made a mistake by going over the allotted time limit but that doesn't give roach the right to aggressively confront robert garcia.


As any man should robert garcia matched roaches aggressiveness with his own aggressiveness. At that point both teams should have taken a step back and relaxed. After seeing footage of the incident from ESPNs angle alex ariza was DEFINITELY out of line. Based on the footage it doens't seem like freddie roach lifted his fist to swing on any one to deserve a kick to the chest but thats roach & ariza problem.


now what roach called sechback and member of team rios after these incidents is completely ridiculous. Had it been a latino or black calling his opponent ****ing black/mexican/asian/white all hell would have broken loose. That person would ahve had to apologize on national TV 100 times.


not only has roach not apologized but this guy lied about the entire situation and like ariza said hid behind his parkinsons as "the victim". This taints any thing he has said in the past if he would lie about something that is actually on footage. who knows what else he's lied about form before.



time to accept the facts regarding this fraud racist known as freddie roach. I think everyone should reconsider there stance on roach and just remember if he's saying that racist trash on camera who knows what he says behind closed doors.

 

Still don't think calling someone a Jew mother****er or Mexican mother****er is racist tbh. Mother****er is the bad word in there.

He didn't say "****ing Mexican" though, he said "mexican mother****er". ****ing Mexicans would imply "**** the Mexican people". If we got into a fight here and I referred to you as an "American mother****er", I am referring to the American, who is a mother****er.

 

So you still haven't explained why he didn't simply say "mother****er" instead of "Mexican mother****er"

If I went to a group of black men and I called them black mother****ers instead of just mother****ers, you can bet your bottom dollar that they will be offended

 

First of all I didnt realise Mexican was a race, saying Mexican mother****er is more comparable to saying English mother****er or American mother****er. He said Mexican mother****er because 1) He was pissed off 2) He was identifying the bald guy coming at him directly, who was Mexican so he said "come on Mexican mother****er". There is a xenophobic undertone there but really, kinda grasping at straws.

Black people use "whiteboy" all the time, don't see it as racist. Some kid pissed me off the other day, that Indian mother****er was a *****. Not sure if calling the Indian guy, an Indian is suppose to be racist?

 

I'd love to stand by Roach in this case but sadly can't. Calling someone a Mexican mofo is 100% racist, it's like calling someone in England a Paqi mofo. Being Jewish is a religious belief obvious and not a race but still people have been using that as if it was a race for far too long and we know what Roach meant there. I could be wrong but as far as I remember Arize initiated that by kicking.

 

Roach was walking up to him trying to intimidate him. Sure he didn't curl up his fists but still.

If someone walked up to you in that kind of manner, you're obviously going to be self conscious and going to protect yourself any way you can.

 

OK when you put it that way, you have a point.

However I do believe that he said those things to offend the individual rather than to attack a race. I got into an argument with a ginger guy, I called him a ginger **** to **** him off. Don't mean I'm ginger-phobic. lol.
