    Schaefer says that Hennessy called him up last week inquiring about the fight. Schaefer expressed willingness and Hennessy said he would get back to him this past Sunday or Monday. Scahefer has not heard back from Hennessy since and Hennessy won't return his calls. Here are the quotes;

    “Mick called me up and said that Haye had dropped out of the fight in February and said he’d be interested in Deontay filling in, saying they could still go on pay-per-view [in the United Kingdom], that it would still be a big fight over there,” Schaefer said. “He said the Brits like Deontay and that he made a good impression over there when he fought Audley Harrison.”

    “I told Mick that I’m open to doing the fight and to make me an offer,” Schaefer said. “He said, ‘Let me think about it and I’ll call you back. I need to talk to [broadcaster] Sky [Sports] and I’ll call you back with an offer [Sunday] night or Monday.’”

    “When I didn’t hear from him Monday, I called him on Tuesday and he doesn’t answer his phone,” Schaefer said. “He didn’t call Wednesday, he didn’t call Thursday and he didn’t call Friday. What he should know is if the deal is right, we’re happy to go over there to England for the fight. But he hasn’t called. We’re waiting. But I told him we could do a 50-50 deal. I’ll bring U.S. television, he brings British television, we put everything in the pot.”

    “Tyson Fury and his team must have realized that Tyson would get knocked out and they will go for a safer opponent,”

    50/50? What the hell does Richard think he has? Wilder doesn't have the draw for that. Furthermore Schaffer wants us to believe that Wilder goes from Firtha to a top 20 level fighter, let alone a top 10?

    Well, it's up to Hennessy to make an offer and they can try to make a deal.

    hang on are you calling fury a top 10 fighter? if so that may be true in some ranking of the alphabet groups but anybody who knows anything about boxing knows full well fury is awful and wilder is more than 'worthy' to step up and face him, it's not the mayweather sweepstakes here

    It seems to me golden boy priced them selfs out because 50-50 Just isn't fair when Tyson's the bigger draw worldwide and has fought and beat guys ranked in the top ten

    If you never fought guys in the top ten you don't deserve 50-50 simple.
    In time maybe but not now..

    I'm not sure this is true, but it is believable Fury did duck Price, fight that he would have won as Price has poor chin but he didnt believe in himself and ducked Price, so this is possible!

    No ****ing way Wilder deserves a 50/50 split with Fury. This is Golden Boy's way of setting clearly ridiculous demands and then blaming Fury's team for the fight falling through. A clear duck on the part of Wilder's team.

    Wilder and Golden Boy are orchestrating a duck here by offering a ludicrous 50/50. Wilder's people know he's not ready for Fury yet, and rightfully so.

    Watched an interview with Peter Fury where he said that Schaefer is talking nonsense. He said that they would definetly take the fight if there payed well for it but that Golden Boy dont seem willing to put up the money. Its great for golden Boy to have there fighters name contineously linked with big fights with out actually fighting anyone decent it makes people believe that his better than he is. I think thats what golden boys trying to do
