Quarry couldn't handle Frazier.....and Tyson is even bigger and faster.

    Tyson by TKO in 4.

Jerry Quarry by decision. Nobody was able to take out Jerry quickly when he was at his peak, he had better quickness (though Tyson was faster), superior mobility, and was a more adept infighter. Mike would have played right into Quarry's counterpunching hands. This might look a good deal like Quarry/Patterson, but probably without Mike hitting the deck. Jerry's chin would neutralize Tyson's greater power to Floyd's. While Mike was bigger and more powerful than Patterson, he had nothing approaching the level of skill and experience Floyd brought to his matches with Quarry. Unlike Frazier, Tyson was a fast starter who faded a bit as a fight progressed. Mike would not wear Jerry down as Frazier could. Interesting pairing.

I am a big Quarry supporter...but I can't see any way this happens. Tyson in 5-6 on cuts or stoppage...I don't see this going the distance and if by chance it did, I still don't see a Quarry decision here?

Quarry was a sponge, and the fact the Tyson was such a quick starter leads me to believe that Jerry would have gotten eaten alive withing a few rounds.

Tyson stoppage on cut within 5, but with jerry having his moments. Quarry lost the big one too often for him to win here.

Lots of people selling Quarry cheap here. Sure, the man did cut and bleed like Enry Coopah, but I believe he was a lot tougher than most people think.

Against Tyson, Quarry wouldn't back down, and I dare say if he nails Tyson with his own famous short left hook, Tyson would be in trouble. I will agree with the majority suggesting a fight against Tyson is a difficult match-up for Quarry. Tyson's quickness and power should dominate this fight, but I'll give Quarry some credit for the guys he's fought and beat. 7 times out of 10, Tyson beats Quarry.

Tyson. Quarry came up short in too may big matchs. He is a guy that May have had a big night and beaten Tyson, but over all Tyson has to get the nod here, big time.

    Very true.

I'm sure Quarry could wobble Tyson a few times, but Mike would eat him up.

Quarry like Ali was a master at beating the Big Slow punchers, I think Jerry's chin had a lot to do with it, he could take a shot, box a bit, and had decent stamina...However Tyson had early power and speed(overated a bit on this forum) Tyson had a tendency to throw in bunches(a cluster puncher)usually a 3 piece...Tyson dont fit the mold of a slow, hard puncher but if Jerry hung in there without taking too much he could make Mike wonder.....I think Mikes power,Cluster shot shake and cut Jerry early on...Jerry has a punchers chance but I think Mike was a CUT above him as far as pure talent
