Groves was clearly outboxing him. He was wobbling a bit, but I felt that Froch wasn't on his way to stop him. Anyway it was a horrible decision from a ref to stop the fight. Groves was definitely capable of dancing around until the end of the fight, but again, the scorecards were really wrong and would have Froch winning in that case. Overall, it was a very bad night for the sport. I guess that after this fight Froch has no rights to call out Andre Ward for a rematch.
GGG would destroy Froch. Kolavev would kill him. Ward would batter him. Froch is done as a top fighter. done. done. done. Groves, on the other hand, surprised me with his power as aside from the knockdown hurt Froch nearly every time he landed a clean shot. He has a very bright future.
These kind of stoppages, and Gatti vs Ward would have been stopped in the 1st rds. Let alone hundreds of other great fights with great rds
Yep and speed kills. He has the speed of a WW. Himself and Froch both have power but completely opposite kinds of power.
I do believe Groves would have survived. He was hurt, but not badly hurt. He was about to clinch with Froch. I think it was a bad stoppage.
