I'm absolutely stunned. Why bother anymore? We see this **** too much? George boxed his ****ing head off and was slightly stunned and that **** Foster ruined it. Nights like tonight ruin the sport. An absolute disgrace.
I was so ****ed off I posted this in the middle of a bar to make sure my views weren't too OTT. Hahahaha
I'm a long long time lurker here. These are my first posts. This is bull$hit. Has Froch-Groves been fixed? All the post fight crap - Great respect between the boxers? Great for British boxing? Tonight boxing this looks like a business. TV revenues & re-matches. This is not a sport.
I think Froch has been robbed of a proper finish. If he got the proper stoppage which looked like would happen in the next 20 seconds would've truly been one of the greatest boxing comebacks.
What did it for me was the way in which the ref stopped it, he made it seem dramatic and grabbed him as if he was about to fall when hed only taken two clean shots. Disgraceful. Froch is a smug loud mouth overrated fighter.
I'm a huge Froch fan. I'm delighted Carl won, but gutted in the fashion that he won. Well done Groves, the least you deserve is a rematch.
Did you see that fight? That fight was amazing! Groves showed he might be for real, Froch showed he was indeed a CHAMPION. Boxing won tonight it was special fight that lived up to the hype. Foster probably stopped it too soon. But thankfully no one was badly hurt, so hopefully we can all look forward to a rematch.
As much as I hate froch it ain't his fault.he was far more hurt than groves was though.scorecards were unbelievable
However Froch might have won, there's no way he could take any credit when we can all see the refs were bent. The scorecards show this was over before it began. Froch exposed as a poor poor boxer. He'd have been great when it was 2 blokes standing still taking turns at exchanging clean hits, but he was embarrassed against a skilled mover.
It was a great fight so lets not take that away, the sport showed everything that was good about it but also everything that was bad about it at the end. Hearn bought off the REF and JUDGES, nothing else can explain the way the Ref never took any points off Froch and then stopped the fight at the first moment he could get away with it. Groves may never come back from this.
It really is sad to see a fight end like that. Robbery is an understatement. That ref should never be seen in a boxing ring again.
Boxing is corruption my friend, sorry to spell that for you. It is much better to admire a brilliant fight, than the controversial ending. I am sure Netball has its advantages, but come on surely it is more fun to debate a potential Froch/Groves rematch?
