All you have to do with the Sky commentators is get off to a good start and it turns into a cheer leading exercise.
i want to go to watch the fights at the pubs that have better fights!! now can you give me a few names of pubs that can deliver the goods? :!::hey:deal
Groves was never making it 12 at the pace he was going, especially with Froch just saying f it and swinging away at him like that. no way he would've survived the next 3 even if he made it out of that one. That being said, that ref was a dumbass
True. That punch would've stopped anybody in the division other than Froch (although very few world class foes would give him the chance to land it clean)
nah he got caught cold early in the fight it happens, he took some bombs throughout the rest of the fight that would of stopped alot of people.
He was buzzed & not badly hurt, in fact at the time of the stoppage he actually had thrown punches back & was coming forward to clinch Froch. Simple fact is Groves was catching Froch with clean shots at will, Froch had to resort to dirty tactics just to win a round. That was the first round that Froch had a little vit of success in & the ref jumps in.
There's bad stoppages in fights that are foregone conclusions, and bad stoppages in fights that are in the balance. Froch-Groves was in the latter. I know refs have got to look at every situation objectively and in isolation, but you're inviting controversy when you jump in there pre-knockdown and the fighter is still (kind of) defending himself.
