I couldn't believe how biased Jim Watt is. He was all for Groves, his predicted prefight winner. I had it a lot closer than his scorecard.
I wonder how the HBO crew saw it?

I never had him down as that type, he was definitely nervous here though, his eyes looked glazed, timing was off and he was generally negative til he warmed to the task. It makes his comeback all the more impressive!

Come to think of it, its better the fight got stopped this way rather than have it go the distance and Froch winning a diaboloical decision.

Belts are won in the ring as viewed by the judges or ref, not the court of public opinion.

Bicycle enthusiast, former soccer player and TV dance star Sergio Martinez fractured Chavez Jr's face.
Froch dances on TV, owns a bicycle and loves soccer(futbol).:hey

Chavez Jr was one of 4 names on a list given to Eddie Hearn by HBO.
It's a fight that I'd like to see. Probably not enough "skill" in it for you though.
You seem like you're more a fan of the "technicians".:D

No way! against a deadly finisher like Froch! When he smells blood he unleashes hell. Anyone who has watched Froch know that. hell guy who go to war with Froch start getting broken down, and after midway, that is what Groves started to do, go to war and Froch was starting to put the grind and burn on his man and it was taking its toll. Froch may have been losing rounds but he was getting in some big body shots and started to get the head shots in, he stunned Groves a few times.

By the time of the stoppage, Groves was a spent force. No way he survives a constant barrage of heavy shots. Froch is one dangerous mofo in the championship rounds. Even started putting it on Ward in the last couple rounds, yes it was late but Froch is an animal. The stoppage was coming, if not by the end of that round, then the next.

Credit to Groves, he surprised Froch with his speed and power, but his undoing was when he started to trade with Froch, and everyone comes out second best when they try to fight Froch like that. It was a good fight, yes the ref jumped in a bit early, but Groves was on his way to getting stopped. Those last couple shots Froch landed were big ass shots, Groves was well and truly reeling at that stage. So ref saved Groves, he's a young guy, he will come again. No point fighting to the death. Many good nights left for Groves. Why take a career ending beating? He's only just started his boxing journey and Froch, a battle hardened warrior was digging deep and was not to be denied tonight, early stoppage or not.

But both guys played their part, it was a great fight.

Froch was kd against Taylor and sparked him, same thing was happening again imo. Ref spoilt it for Froch as well

There's no such thing as another champion in the SMW division since the true universally recognize Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion of the World is Andre Ward.

Froch is only a titleist and a belt holder but we know who the real champion is.

Like @ 160 Middleweight, GGG and Quillin are just titleist, the Universally recognize Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World is Sergio Martinez.

Yeah froch would likely have stopped him. Would have been nice to get the opportunity to see it.

the ref could not wait to wave the fight off. It's almost like was waiting for the opportunity to stop it? very strange. The ****.
