I never said better fights, I said better technical skills. It was entertaining, but Froch looked sloppy and I expected him to be sharper.

Caught the fight be hada do IRL for all the post fight comments.

Skimmed but mainly agree with most.

Bull**** awful stoppage (tho still wanna see replay to see if I missed something).

With the challenger ahead he deserved at least the opportunity (and the chances that were given to Carl). It was looking to me that Froch was gonna win late - but this left a a bad taste in everyones mouth I think.

I'd totally underestimated Groves and for sure he put in a fight deserving of a championship fighter. To see Froch ride it out and begin to gain confidence is one thing, but there's no excuse for a Ref to deny a challenger who has won most of the fight to at least have the opportunity to continue if he's able.

No I don't think he'd have survived another 3 rounds. Still an awful, clearly corrupt stoppage though. A disgraceful.

If everyone boxed like Mayweather here would be no ko's, no drama and eventually no sport

Groves dominated Froch for most of that and lost 1 maybe 2 rounds at most, whoever those judges who had one point in it should never judge again, also that referee needs a serious talking to, he spoilt the ending to an amazing fight.

After the fight he was condoning the refs actions, if he had admitted that he lost that fight he would have won over more fans. A true man admits defeat and is honest about it. I used to really like Froch but i have lost all the respect for him. I hope he gets exposed in the rematch.

Best post of the night. It's actually astonishing how 2 refs had him 1 point behind prior to stoppage.

I think he would have survived and won (provided he wasn't robbed by scorecard fixing, 2 judges had Froch down by only round - disgrace). But we will never know now. Terrible stoppages like this is why UFC/MMA **** is growing it's market share in PPV fighting events. The best fighter on the night was Groves. You would have to be a indoctrinated deluded Froch fanboy to think anything else.

Thing is George as brilliant as he fought can improve drastically especially his defence, he was asking for trouble when he was backing up to the ropes because he isn't cute enough to avoid the shots, he could have been more clinical because that right hand was working beautifully. He was dominating the centre of the ring and was much better when he was doing the chasing, as soon as he let Carl start backing him up I knew he'd be in trouble, he needs to work on his inside game too, great fighter though

But he didn't lose the fight rofl. He was losing but he didn't lose.

Why in the blue hell would he admit defeat? There were 4 rounds to go.

He could have been a lot more humble though. He was being a colossal ***** in the post fight interview.

He was already exposed. Just got the lucky decision from his cousin Foster.

Froch's chin is granite no doubt, but even granite can be cracked, especially with his defence. As has been said it's not being able to take a shot it's being able to avoid the shot.

Groves won the fight, but he got robbed of the belts, so you could say he is the true champion just not on paper, until the rematch
