Triple world champ and undefeated cuban gamboa will be fighting in cancun,mexico under pepe gomez for cancun boxing on december 21st. it is said to be in the lightwieght division. very good for gamboa to get in a fight , hopefully he puts a vintage gamboa knock out and we can get the fans more excited for a gamboa vs garcia mega fight. gamboa said a few months ago he was gonna start doing his thing in mexico and even mentioned the great napoles and sugar ramos,as they were famous cuban boxers who lived in mexico and made a career of fighting in mexico. as gamboa bieng my fav fighter,i am super excited that he is gonna fight next month,and get back on track.then we can see him vs garcia in a mini mega fight and go on from there. . I used to be a big fan of his too, but ever since the Ponce de Leon fight (September 2011) his career has been downhill. Too much layoffs, weight gain, and personal problems. I think we've seen the best of him.
