Tonight for the Pac vs Rios fight???

Seems like Rios had NO PLAN B! And a poor scheme

Pacquiao basically went 12-0 against BamBam and Margo

You say Rios had no Plan B.

Did he even have a Plan A ?

I wouldn't hold that against Garcia.....Rios has never shown the interest in having a plan B. Not in this fight not in any other fight.

Rios just lacks the ability to execute any type of gameplan. He could try cornering Pac and get on the inside, but he would need to cut the ring off and jab his way in pushing Pac back. Everytime he threw a punch, Pac couldn't miss with a counter or 4 so really, all he could do was cover up.

    Not too good tonite.
    Wrong plan.
Rios did not jab his way in at all.
Jabs were mostly from the outside and mostly singles.
As soon as he started waiting/posing , he lost.
He showed too much respect, whereas, to win he should of shown none.
To deal with Pacs speed he had to punch with him.
    I could go on.
It looked like the plan was to go the distance.
They were paid 4 mil to make Pac look good.

That fight was not easy. Pacquaio had to be on his A game to beat Rios. Rios never stopped coming and if a few more body punches landed, could have stopped Pacquaio or put him on the canvas.

I don't see how people think this was an easy fight. It didn't look easy at all to me.

Rios was cognizant all night. He did exactly what his corner suggested which was to use his jab, keep his defense in the middle tight to prevent Pacquaio's straight left to the body, and use his size, and attack Pacquaio's body.

    He did an excellent job.

The difference being, Pacquaio is just a better fighter.

He wasn't as bad as he was when Magarito was in with Pacquiao. At least Rios didn't take a career ending beating.

    garcia is overrated...

never did anything good with margo and donaire...both fighters were accomplished before garcia trained them...

one dimensional rios??? the only thing that made rios to where he is, is his chin...

I'm thinking that not many people understand boxing. There was no plan B for Rios. If he attempted to box Pacquaio, Pacquaio would have boxed circles around him, easily implementing his gameplan and peppering Rios with combinations.

Pacquaio still managed to do this at times, but took some punches for his effort.

Garcia had an excellent game plan. Go forward, use the jab, put pressure on him, keep your defense tight in the middle, go to the body.

People thing his plan A was to make it a war. I think his plan was to survive and not take too much punishment. Executed fairly well, I would give him a B.

We won't know until his next fight. He hasn't exactly had an easy year with the two Alvarado fight plus this one. I'd like to see a Alvarado trilogy or a cross roads fight and grudge match with victor Ortiz.

It wasn't Garica fault, Rios is just to damn slow and is a easy target to hit. Bob Arum and Manny knew that before choose Rios as an opponent

plan a=impose his size and take him to the corner
plan b=call it a night and fight another day
