Froch caught him flush a lot and Groves just walked through it. What the **** were you watching?

It clearly was a bad stoppage, however watching it a few times Groves was clearly in trouble and it seems it was only a matter of time before the Referee could have stepped in legitimately and without controversy.

Even though I felt it was a matter of time that is just my opinion, and due to the fight being for 2 world title belts, Groves should have been given the benefit of doubt.

Walked through it? His head was being rolled around.

I think this as well, Froch was coming back and it seemed that Groves was slowing down. I think Froch would have won every round and would've hit Groves with his hardest punches. This would've meant that Froch would have won on points (Poor judging though) or Groves would have been stopped. I think Groves would've lasted the round though but he would become little bit too defensive and this is why Froch would win, Froch would just jump on him.

Groves was more disorganised than hurt.

If it slowed down I still go Groves as he clearly punches harder and cleaner than Carl.

Just watched the fight. The stoppage was a disgrace. Who knows what would of happened afterwards but at that point it should not of been stopped.

I would hate to be a ref! Was early though! At the time i thought Froch was on his way to stopping Groves.

Maybe they should bring back standing 8 counts? What was more worrying was the score cards!

Agree that Froch was on his way to victory...a few more shots and Groves was gone.
Today the world would be hailing one of the greatest come-from-behind heroes of all time - Froch was deprived of this, dont forget that..

also dont forget the REAL villains here - the judges who had Groves barely ahead, when he was streets ahead.
You could make a case for the referee (personally I am in a minority who feel the stoppage was justified, like the ref I didnt like the way Groves reacted to the final two shots and Froch is a top finisher) but the judges were absolutely criminal....

    Looks very fishy to me.....

Pure supposition - I just don't buy that at all. Groves stunned for the first time and it's game over? Sorry, but that's BS.

Absolutely. Or at least have a world level foreign ref at ringside with the power to overrule them on stoppages. That might be a happy medium - they need stabilisers, so to speak, but still have the opportunity to partake in their chosen field.

what is it with these guys, they do all sorts and feel the need to jump all over a man when clearlty he is not hurt, why was he headlocking georges groves for ?

Take your hands off that man !
