Frank was right

Fair play to Frank! He knows what those boys are about...

 

Say what you want about Frank but I dont ever remember this much controversy surrounding his shows,Im not saying people always left happy but we usually got a clear winner in big fights like the one last night whether it be on the cards or by knock out.There seems to be an ugly pattern appearing of dodgy decisions and bad refereeing on Matchroom shows which favour the home fighters and that only leads people to believe there is something dodgy going on behind the scenes.

I have become very critical of Eddie Hearn the last few weeks,the whole Ricky Burns fiasco,the Brian Rose shambles and now this.

I actually miss the days when Frank was the leading promotor on Sky.

 

There needs to be an investigation or an overhaul (by Sky?).

British Boxing Board of Control appoint the refs / judges and get a slice of Eddies pie so must be complicit in this as well ?

 

Lots of bad decisions in the UK recently and they have one common factor.

Just cos Hearn has turned out to be a corrupt ****, doesnt mean that Frank is elevated any higher.

Could it be that all promoters are self-interested businessmen who will do whatever it takes to maximise their chances of making cash?

 

Boxing is full of stupid ideas like 'bring them along slowly', 'let them have a gimme fight', 'refs are humans and want to protect the fighter' etc

If your job is a professional referee then your margin of error needs to be incredibly small or you are in the wrong profession. End of discussion. Knee jerk reactions and such poor calls like yesterday are simply unacceptable.

 

Hearn needs to get the fuk out of boxing and leave it to people that know what they're doing

I'm no fan of Frank ****** but one of his quotes is 100% fact re: the Hearns

Accountants by trade accountants by nature. in terms of their interest in boxing.

The money man is always going to win. Unless you have genuine world title aspirations then they won't pay to bring your opponent to the UK, you will be forced to travel.

The fun happens when they bring a semi live "contender" to the UK to face one of their guys in a famous Eddie Hearn "world title eliminator" and the unknown fighter turns out to be a little bit better than they expected and we can't have a matchroom fighter losing a decision on home soil can we? Its not good for business

 

That was one fight,Barrera had a horrendous cut and Khan was winning the fight anyway so it made no odds,there wasnt two world titles on the line either,take your head out of your arse.

He was spot on with his assessment of Mike Tyson in another interview too. Saying how Jeckyl & Hyde and manipulative he was, how he plays the victim etc.

The more I see of the new school, the more I like FW.

Barry strikes me as a bully of the highest order.

Quigg is ****ED the minute he meets Frampton. That will not go past 4 Rounds.

Brook has ALWAYS been overrated. His record is more padded than a cell in Broadmoor.

Burns got a gift and has ALWAYS ducked the top fights. Gamboa would take his lunch money.

Bellew, as much as I love the guy, is in the wrong division. I hope he gets the job done though. Seem's like a top lad and has got a fan in me.


I rate McDonell, too. I think he's great.

Rose will suffer the same fate as the others though.
