seen how fast he was on his feet, didnt stayed in the pocket for too long and has very fast handspeed, and seeing how the guys(Canelo/GGG) are not Chess players, I think Pack could beat them... that is if Pac can take GGG power
Ggg easily knocks him out. And rightfully so, he is a 160 fighter with speed , power , ring iq, amateur experience Canelo would be a very interesting fight... I think canelo would prob hurt pac a few times but prob escape with a close decision (loss or win it would be close)
GGG too big. Canelo would get outboxed all night. If he couldn't get to Floyd and couldn't walk him down, he wouldn't get to Pac who is even faster on his feet and hits harder with more punches. Aside from JMM, Pac has beaten every one of their common opponents more decisively, ODLH, Cotto and Hatton.
Cotto ming of a big lose againt Cheating Margo and Drained... Floyd beat a Better stronger JMW Cotto, Floyd Beat the JMW Champ in ODLH and a younger ODLH... Pac Beat a Drained, beaten and Old ODLH.. Hatton was Prime Champion and undefeated when Floyd, beat him... same for Shane mosley, Floyd beat the better fighters, Plus Marquez
GGG would stop Pacquaio. I wouldn't want to see that fight. It wouldn't be pretty. The only guy that stands a chance against GGG is Mayweather or a bigger guy like Lara perhaps. I would say Trout, but I don't think Trout would be able to take his shots. It's hard to say against Canelo. Canelo was very disappointing against Mayweather. Canelo is a style boxer, who doesn't like to get touched. If he wanted to WIN against Mayweather, he would have pressed the issue more. Even Guerrero pressed the issue more than Canelo. Obviously, it's a dangerous fight for Pacquaio considering Canelo's power, boxing ability, and accuracy, and he could very will stop Pacquaio, but Pacquaio would bust Canelo up in the process. Canelo was tentative against Mayweather's power, so I suspect he would be tentative against Pacquaio's. He would certainly be worse for wear, but it would be a very tough fight for Pacquaio. There are few fighters in history that have Mayweather's defensive acumen, and Pacquaio is not that type of fighter.
Cotto said the weight wasn't a problem, before and after the fight. Yet somehow you think it was. At no point in that fight did it show that Cotto was drained, simply outboxed and hurt by a peaking Pacquiao. Yes Cotto was coming off a beating from Margo, however against Floyd he was coming off a beating from Margarito AND Pac. The damage accumulates over time, not backwards. Pac fought ODLH a year later. He destroyed him, it wasn't even close. Pac jumped up 2 weight classes for that fight and was an underdog, dont forget that. Champion is nothing but a belt, fighters dont lose skills thats taken 20 years to hone because they lost a trinket or a fight. Does Manchester Utd become a worst team because they lost to Arsenal last week? Makes no difference.
It's not defensive acumen that has troubled Pac, its outright counterpunchers. Canelo was very flatfooted and gunshy, no reason why it would be any different against Pac given Pac's speed, power and footwork.
the ODLH that fought with Floyd was THE Champion at Junior Middle Weight, and Floyd fought him at the Limit of the division(154)... Pac fought a Drained ODLH dealing with Drugs issues, Big/Huge differences, no way to sugar coat it
No, it was Marquez, who is one counterpuncher and a particular type of counterpuncher. Bradley didn't trouble Pacquaio, and I can't think of any other counterpuncher he's fought that troubled him. At the highest level, all guys have a certain level of counterpunching ability, even Rios, so I wouldn't say that is the case. I think a guy who is constantly moving and rotating, and has a low center of gravity and can send his punches upward, troubles Pacquaio, which is Marquez. However, Canelo has size, power, and skill, plus counterpunching ability. This would be a very tough fight for Pacquaio. Pacquaio would take punishment because while he would be busting Canelo up, Canelo is probably big enough to absorb his shots and throw his own. Now, I agree, it's possible that Canelo could become gun shy like he was against Mayweather because I think he clearly does not like to be hit, but the Mayweather fight might have suggested to him mentally, that this is boxing, and if you want to win a fight, sometimes you need to get hit. Either way, I definitely think Pacquaio could win this fight, but it's a very tough fight that would really be tough on Pacquaio's body, especially if Canelo brings it.
Canelo/GGG is like saying Andrade/Ward Pacman can easily beat Canelo Not sure how a GGG fight will go...
ODLH was coming down 3lbs from his last fight at 150lb with Forbes. Pac was going up in weight 12lbs after ONLY 1 fight at 135, so effectively he jumped 3 weight classes within 2 fights. Tell me who was disadvantaged in that fight again?
