Is that definitely his account? Has this been confirmed by a third party besides the Daily Mail?

 

The size of the ring, the scorecards at the time of the stoppage and the ref's behaviour throughout the fight show that Groves had it all stacked against him last night. Hearn had his eye on those HBO Golovkin or Chavez Jr fights for Carl.

Lol when ever I hear GGG mentioned in the same sentence as Carl I honestly laugh. Golovkin would have Carl out cold within two rounds based on last nights showing.

Eh, maybe. There are people beyond numbering bored enough to make fake accounts for & stalk celebrities of all stripe down to some very obscure niche interest ones.

How many thousands of fake pages exist for movie stars, top-paid athletes, royals etc? Clearly bored obsessive whack jobs make up a large part of the population; you don't suppose any follow boxing?

 

lol @ this conspiracy bull****. As if the ref knew Froch would land bombs on his chin in round 9.....

 

Don't get me wrong, I think it's highly likely that Froch would've sealed the deal in the next 15-20 seconds anyway. But I just think taking everything into account last night you can see that Groves was going to have to KO the man who'd never been stopped in order to win last night.

I'll have to rewatch later, but I seem to remember Foster wanting nothing to do with separating the fighters when Froch was getting buzzed up, whereas he was in there very quickly whenever Carl landed anything. And as for two judges having Froch trailing by one round going into the 9th - that speaks for itself.

At the time I thought Groves blew it. He could have won that fight with his jab and buzzing Froch with 3-4 solid right hands every round. He didn't need to start trading the punches which ultimately took it out of him. However, looking at the scorecards he was on his way to getting jobbed if he'd have tried to do that, so the KO was his only way to win.
