In fairness, he and Groves did make peace and give each other deserved respect at the end. I can understand the frustration and anger people feel about the bull**** stoppage, but some are taking it out on Froch and I feel that anger is misdirected. Blame that idiot ref, not the fighter.
See, here it is again. Why 'so-called warrior'? What has happened that's made you think Froch is not a warrior? It sounds like you're talking through the tears and ignominy of an empty wallet. :deal
Remember the chorus of boos that always followed Richard Steele because of his stoppages in the Chavez-Taylor and Tyson-Ruddock fights? I wonder if Foster will get the same treatment? Let's face it, last night's stoppage was way worse than either of those.
Lol of course it wasn't. Taylor had 3 seconds left. There wouldn't have even been another punch in the fight.
Yes? That was stupid too. Both fighters put everything on the line - the ref is the idiot so boo him!
According to Groves and Fitzpatrick but I was kind of shocked at how well he took all those monster shots - he wasn't backing up much, that's for sure, even if he didn't seem to know what to do with Groves until the eighth round when he abandoned alll pretense of boxing and put everything into that old-fashioned bum-rush.
Froch is the man! He was knocked down in round one by a beautiful combo, but came back up and fought his way back in the fight. If the ref cheated anyone it was Froch who would have knocked the gassed Groves the **** out.
Loving the fact that some people think there were 20.000 boxing fans there watching last night. :rofl You'd have been lucky to find 5000 genuine fight fans at last nights fight, the majority would have been no more than casual fans, with most of them rooting for one fighter or the other based on demographics and/or football teams. As for there being "only one winner", the premature stoppage has probably done Groves a massive favour, because the likelihood was that he wasn't going to see the round out.
