in that case, definitely not. the decision maker has to be in the ring, talking to a fighter and looking into his eyes.

If he had planned to stop the fight in round 9, trust me, he would NOT have put it on facebook first.

He WAS looking to end the fight and save Froch but the f/b round 9 thing is pure coincidence. Nobody is that stupid.

The ref could wear a GoPro or something like that giving the man ringside the exact same view as him. I think of it more as a safety net, to prevent the disgustingly blatant early stoppages like last night.

Nobody is that stupid? : )

On another note I found the video that started the thread.

    http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/boxing/9040111/fitzpatrick-furious-at-referee-decision

Not to sure on the Forum etiquette, is it cool to post links like this?

    Thanks.

Yeah... you could see Khan was a beaten man. The quality was a bit iffy, that can easily be improved upon though. I feel the combination of being ringside, having access to replays and live coverage plus the referee cam should allow you to make the right decision.

Fact is Eddie Hearn has EVERYBODY in his pocket. These outcomes will happen time and time again. I actually think Eddie Hearn and Matchroom are killing British Boxing. FW did it for years, Eddie Hearn is doing it now. It will always happen, do what they can to protect there investments. If GG was promoted by Eddie Hearn that fight would not have been stopped for that I am sure.

**not quite sure why the the word W A R R E N cant be typed.... even though I can see how some might deem it offensive....**

I have been saying for some time on here that I am concerned about the upcoming Sturm v. Barker fight.
What I saw here does not reassure me.
Sturm has got a raw deal in three recent fights..Murray Geale and soliman.
Barker, internationally, is the money fighter of the two...certain interests do not want the title tied up in Germany. I believe this creates a strong likelihood of Sturm getting shafted again if it is close on points.
This one will require watching I feel.
