He was hurt but don't try and justify the stoppage please!

He might of gone down/took a knee..
He might of been knocked out
He might of won the fight

The fact is Groves/Froch/us will never know now. All thanks to the ref!

Bull**** stoppage. Grooves had Froch in worse trouble that that several times in the fight. Ref is a disgrace!

He was clearly hurt and the right hand that Froch hit him with that drove him to the ropes would have put Groves down if the ropes hadn't been there to keep him upright but he was still fighting back. The stoppage was premature.

Groves cannot see where the ref is after the second right hand lands.

Actually it's a very quick left hook right hand combo and groves is gone

If the ref isn't there... Groves is a defenceless target....

Groves was on his way out. Froch was seeing red. He would not of let up.

If Groves got a standing 8 count , people would be complaining he was saved by the ref from a tko loss.

Just accept that it was a premature stoppage. Groves looked hurt, tired and off balance but not hurt enough to stop the fight.

Groves needed to be collapsed against the ropes with his hands down or on the canvas for this to have been stopped

The ref robbed us all of an immense ending... and Groves of a potential thrilling decision victory or Froch of a TKO.

Quite right and it's plain to see!! Come on He sagged and pretty much fell in to the ref. It looked weird because the ref had his arms around his head but Froch switched Groves lights out for a moment, you can clearly see it in this angle. The ref obviously had a guy who had just been decked clean and hard and for a brief moment sagged. From that point the ref waved it, cos he was out. He comes back alive again and then starts complaining. That does happen sometimes, boxers going out for a moment not remembering the punch then complaining to the ref when they come back round.

Now would you, if you were the ref allow it to go on? knowing how good a finisher Froch is, with 3 rounds still left. You guys want a young lad like Groves to keep on fighting with nothing left and get pummeled for 3 more rounds? When Froch smells blood he goes for the kill. Groves had nothing left.

Remember those were two big shots he ate, and there were still a little time in that round. So how many more big shots does Groves eat before the ref stops it? Froch was coming on, Groves didn't need to get battered for another 3 rounds, he's young, and can have a good career. He fought very well, but Froch came on late and was clearly hurting him. By the time of the stoppage, Groves was a sitting duck getting smashed by monster rights and was out. I don't care what anyone says, but he sagged and was no longer in a position to defend himself.

It's gone down bad because it felt so sudden but groves was gone, I hear McCracken say today he knew it was groves was done when he saw the arms sagging and McCrackens a straight shooter. I believe in the post fight presser he pretty much admitted that car and the team were always apprehensive with the groves fight because of what he brings to the table (speed and power)

Anyway great comeback win by froch

Robert Smith chief of the BBBof C thought the stoppage was correct.Does anyone realise the number of times that British boxing has been under threat of being banned? The anti boxing lobby and the BMA have consistantly tried to ban boxing in Britain. Micheal Watson nearly bankrupted the BBBof C after his injuries trying to sue the board for 1 million pds.The ref should n`t really be blamed,it`s the instructions set by the board in these circumstances.
