Jim Watt doesn't know ****. Can't stand his commentary...

It was round f*cking 1 lmao...feeling out round... Froch's style means he can't dedicate to his jab without finding his distance first and feel out his opponent as he leaves himself open...

Compared to his previous fights Froch looked nervous as hell for the first few round especially. Whereas the young guy who had never fought at this level and had been dropped by Froch in sparring looked super confident from the opening bell. Look at the 1st few rounds vs Bute compared to the 1st few rounds vs Groves and consider the similarities. Both Groves and Bute are quicker, better technical boxers who were supposed to have fragile chins.

He oculdn't be anything else but nervous after that first round knockdown...

It's very clear that Groves knew exacly how to fight Froch's style... Froch couldn't establish a jab at all... his hands down style left him defenseless against groves...all he had to beat a quicker groves was timing...Around round 6 or 7 you see Froch actually having to try box using the standard gloves up style... lol didn't last long...he preferred to turn it into a brawl...

i was picking Froch up until they both entered the ring, when i saw the look of confidence on Groves and my mind changed instantly.

I looked at Frochs corner and he was just grinning at Groves, i felt there was a Buster Douglas type performance coming.

I thionk both guys were robbed in some ways.

Groves was on his way to becoming a champion as he led on the cards HAD he made it past 9,10,11 and 12

Froch was robbed of a legit KO, as i feel he was going to get Groves out of there.

The championship rounds were Frochs territory and Groves was knee deep in there. If he couldnt stop him after the first round, i couldnt see him doing it later, when Froch gets stronger.

But well never know now because of that idiot ref

I'm not sure he was intimidated in the build up, he was clearly annoyed and GG seems to have got under his skin.

I would say after round one Froch was rightly intimidated. The speed + power of GG really shocked him.

Loved that Grove made Froch do the chicken dance. He must've been attending the Amir Khan dancing academy.

Froch kept getting tagged with the right hand and you could tell as Froch was backing up he was getting hurt with it. Did anybody else notice that he kept looking to his corner after getting hit with it as if 'What do I do'. I personally thought Carl looked a bit lost in there for a lot of the fight

Jim Watt said Gerald Mclellan took a knee because he had a "heart problem" (as in lacked heart)

Yeah he was looking to his corner a fair bit. There was a part in the fight, I cant remember what round, that Froch tried to use a high guard, he actually had both hands up.

Oh he'll take it. He took the Kessler fight due to demand but Kessler was very elusive. Direll, the U.K fans never wanted a remeatch and we all know why!

But Froch has NO option. He doesn't want Ward, Ward doesn't want him and he won't come back. Kessler won't rematch him, Froch won't move down to 160 and GGG or Chavez Jr won't move up. Bute definitely doesn't want him.

    It's either Groves or retirement.
