how will pac close the distance on a fighter who has a significant reach advantage, excelent timing, speed, accuracy, and controls distance very well?

Hatton. his best weight was 140, Floyd forced him to move up

Canelo. weight drained, most likely not in his prime yet

Judah. was coming off a loss to freakin Baldomir ffs

    Erislandy Lara and GGG

Prime Pac and prime Cotto come to mind

Margarito and Paul Williams too, maybe they can't be considered great but would have posed big challenges for Floyd due to their physical advantages and fighting style

Those two were in their prime, yeah. but great?:lol::lol:

Canelo is legit at 154. People wanted to see 154.
Not a weight drained plodding zombie who didnt have the energy to throw a damn punch. That vicotry counts for NOTHING.

Who the last guy floyd even knocked down?? Canelo didnt have a mark on his face. Neither did oscar.

I am repeating my self for years now, FMJ will beat Pac at ANY time in their respective career at ANY weight. Roach knows it, Arum knows it and Pac knows it.

Pac is a talented fighter, well trained but extremely carefully matched for maximum effect. Period.

To the point...........Pac has no answer for a jab, can't cut off the ring, you could not miss him with a straight right if you tried,no inside game, fast hands and feet but poor footwork and last but not least absolute zero Ring IQ.
Which fighter does all the above exceptionally well.........FMJ, so it will be a long night for Pac and his fans believe Mayweather could not KO him, well think again, Manny will force the KO all mad , frustrated and reckless lunging in, yeah the possibility of FMJ laying him out is high and he certainly has more pop than grandpa JMM.

Conclusion, if Pac fights like in the last JMM fight he will not see the distance, you can take that to the bank, if he boxes he is F ed period, so better fight some more handpicked house fighters to milk the train.

BTW, Pac will get flat out KO 'ed again before his career is over.

Oh I. Agree on the lineal titlists argument ..Most of them are usually not the best in their perspective divisions .

Mayweather with out a belt is better than most of the belt holders in his range no question ,but when measuring greatness how is he ranked ?Why is Ali one of the greatest fighters ever ? Is it because of the belt holders he fought or the actual guys he fought ?

What about SRL sure he's fought his share of top contenders and belt holders but how is measured in terms of greatness ? Is it his attributes ? His offense ,defense or the caliber of fighters he's beat ?

Greatness is truly measured on who you beat not as too how many fights you won or belts you picked up !

To be fair to Floyd he did call out Moseley years ago only for Shane to opt to get his teeth done instead, also Top Rank where not prepared to put Cotto in with him when they where both promoted by TR.
Potentially he could have fought Freitas/Casamayor at 130, Tszyu at 140 & Pac/Margarito at 147 apart from that I dont think he's missed much.

Didn't Casamayor call him out when they were both at 130?

Ducking Pacquiao is a piece of cake for Floyd.

I believe Floyd would beat Manny.

Were all hoping and praying Floyd will acquire as much confidence in Pac being a peice of cake as you do.
Pac isn't quite the monster he was, and Floyd is highly skilled.. I still think it's a competive fight. Coming off a huge knockout against Marquez, and face it Rios seems he can crack.. Pac was wisely cautious. Against Floyd who doesn't have the punching power/ doesn't commit as much as a Marquez or Rios I think it boils down to if Pac respects Floyd's power.
If Pac didn't have much respect I think he wins. If he lets Floyd dictate the fight, hold him all the time on the inside, and pot shot him on the outside, it'd be a good day for Floyd.
At any rate I don't think the fight will ever happen unless both guys are at the end of their career for sure.

He very well may have, that actually would have been a great fight at the time, we would have got to see how Floyd would have done against a crafty (& dirty) southpaw.

    Correct.

After you just got KTFO, you shouldn't be pitting yourself against a young and hungry boxer who will outweigh you by almost 10lbs on fight night, a known puncher with 23 KOs in 34 fights, and who only lost one fight in his career.

You should be fighting a fat and slow LW whom you will have a cactweight contract with and still not honor anyway.

That's how comeback fights show be chosen.
