i want to canvass opinnion on here on what everyone thought of jim watts commentary on saturday night , nearly everyone i have spoken to and amongst those are both casual fans and hardcore fans have all said words to the effect this guy is an idiot, this guy was watching a different fight etc etc
i know he is bad but i honestly felt he reached a new low he was blatantly biased towards groves he rarely gave frochs work any credit and was only looking for postives in groves work.

In fairness, Froch didn't really do much "work" for him to talk about, Froch was made to look woeful throughout, even in the 9th it wasn't clean work, he just bumrushed in and landed about 3 out of 30 shots thrown clean...

    STFU you idiot!

Froch landed next to nothing all night! And most of what he did land were illegal blows!

    Spastic

He said it as he watched it, all the positives were coming from Groves. No issues here.

After the knockdown he didn't give Froch credit at all. Froch was working and landing jabs even if they were weak and did scrape a couple of rounds. Obviously Groves was landing bigger shots and winning but he wasn't giving Froch any credit "whatsover".

He basically slated Froch and gave him no credit right up to the point Groves was on the verge of being stopped and the referee, prematurely I agree, stepped in, Watt then did a compete U turn. Wasn't a good night for him at all, made to look a twat.

Jim Watt says it as he sees it, excellent commentator, the best, I much prefer boxing with him commentating,

    WHo else would you have?

I love Watt's passion - makes the fight much more exciting. Just annoying when he's constantly going against who you're supporting, as he generally goes on direction and doesn't change.

Thought Jim Watt had one of his better nights, even calling Frochs illegal blows. Eddie can't have been happy....

thought watt was hysterical and disgraceful, and I've defended him in the past. Watch the fight with the foreign commentary and it's almost a different fight.

I thought he was spot on, You could hear his voice crack with emotion as he saw a boy grow into a man right before him.

Carl didn't do anything for 6 rounds, He got severely beaten up and it showed in the commentary.
