what about the ghost and Ortiz were they tune up fights ?

rios is better then the ghost and Ortiz he is a solid fighter who has never been knocked down as a pro with a iron chin, both Ortiz and the ghost have been knocked down and the first one quit like a punk

just imagine how pac would make Ortiz and the ghost look :rofl

Rios and Guerrero comparison. Oddly enough, they have the same record. But don't get caught up in the difference in entertainment they have provided. Notable fights listed with decision and notable titles. I don't really see how anyone could pick Rios here at all. Please let me know if I'm missing something.

    Rios
    31-2-1, 23 KO's
    Anthony Peterson, W DQ7
    Omri Lowther, W TKO5
Miguel Acosta, W TKO10, for WBA LW title
Urbano Antillon, W KO3, WBA LW defense
    John Murray, W TKO11
    Richar Abril, W SD12
    Mike Alvarado, W TKO7
    Mike Alvarado II, L UD12
    Manny Pacquiao, L UD12

    Guerrero
    31-2-1, 18 KO's
    Gamaliel Diaz, L SD12
    Gamaliel Diaz II, W KO6
Eric Aiken, W RTD8, for IBF FW title
Spend Abazi, W TKO9, for vacant IBF FW title
Martin Honorio, W TKO1, IBF FW defense
Jason Litzau, W KO8, IBF FW defense
Malcolm Klassen, W UD12, for IBF SFW title
    Joel Casamayor, W UD10
    Vicente Escobedo, W UD10
    Michael Katsidis, W UD12
    Selcuk Aydin, W UD12
    Andre Berto, W UD12
    Floyd Mayweather, L UD12

It's not that anyone was comparing opponents. Brandons a good fighter. I think the point is, after all these years we know a guy like brandon is well suited for manny and was there to make him look good. He has slow feet slow hands and can only fight one way (head down in front of each other and throwing combos...) Manny was always going to be able to dance around him using lateral movement, throwing punches then moving on. I predicted a manny points win because brandons tough and mannys powers overrated (hasn't ko'd one guy at 147... de la hoya quit)

I want to see manny fight broner, although i know it won't happen. He'l rematch bradley no doubt which i guess is a decent fight.

Also a point to make is, what would the public/boxing fans have said if floyd had fought brandon after he'd lost to alvarado.. it'd of been crys of mismatch, cherry pick etc... the same could be said if manny hadn't of just been ko'd... it was a mismatch it's as simple as that.

Manny fought the smartest fight i'v ever seen from him.

And I'm sorry which of Rios' 147 wins are better than Ortiz's over Berto? Which of Rios' career wins are comparable to that?

Who had suffered the worst career defeat between Ortiz (Maidana) and Rios (Alvarado)? Who had suffered defeat most recently between them?

    This.

As predictable an 11-1 absolutely one sided UD as there can be.

And Rios was coming off a decisive loss. To Alvarado, not a top cat going into that rematch. Rios also had never once campaigned within 7 pounds of the WW limit against Pacquiao.

at the time though, berto was the up and coming welterweight... was a world champ and was unbeaten. Nobody would of predicted the way he's fallen down the rankings.

    Just stop please just stop.

Guerrero is a much better boxer than rios. Everyone who knows anything about the sport will tell u this. Guerrero would beat rios. Guerrero took out undefeated aydin and berto at WW. Who has rios beat at WW? Also remember Guerrero is not a natural WW.

Say whatever you want but Pacquiao is still the most competitive fight out there for Floyd. I don't think Pac would win but his speed and skills would make it as hard as it gets for Floyd to win a boxing match. Pac showed that he's still a world class operator.

im a big pac fan but if they fight know I would go for Floyd since all Floyd has do it is outpoint him and keep the distance 4 years ago I would give it 50/50 so Floyd wins for me
