GG stops GGG. I like Golovkin but Groves is too big, too fast and hits too hard for him to deal with. Golovkin should stay at 160 where he can dominate or move down to 154. He needs to stay well clear of SMW

    You think so ?
To me it shows that Groves had been trained by Adam Booth. He looks like Haye in the way he moves, his jab etc
Groves is like a super middleweight David Haye and Golovkin looks like...Golovkin.

I think it would be a good fight. I also think its more reason to move to 168 at some point not less, if Groves could be a money fight. Same problem with Froch though - probably only big money in UK fight. Theres really only Ward at 168 for a good money fight in the US... unless you count JCCjr... which I dont at this point, he could end up CW for all anyone knows.

TBH if Golovkin wants to try 168, Groves would be a good place to start. He's riding a wave right now, having put Froch down, but yet is still essentially unproven over the distance. I think it's a very winnable fight for Golovkin, (though I wouldn't write 2G off); Groves took advantage of flaws he'd observed in Froch (and Frochs reputation ain't based on his tight defense), against Golovkin things would be very different IMO.

FWIW it's a fight I'd like to see made and a route I'd very much like to see GGG take if Maravilla (or even Murray) continues to be unavailable.

Groves doesn't seem to have enough experience for a fighter like Golovkin. If he fought smart against Froch, I have no doubts that he would have won a decision (the stoppage was a complete robbery btw). If he went to fight against GGG at the center of the ring and tried to make GGG back off like he did against Froch, Golovkin knocks him out.

I'd imagine the biggest reason for Golovkin to stay at 160 is that he isn't a huge middle and would be horribly outsized at 168.

Its all about money and not wanting to ping pong weight. Unless its held in UK, theres only one SMW Golovkin could get a fight with where he would earn more for the bout than he would fighting a random 160 pounder. Plus it would take him out of contention for any lucrative 154 bouts if network/promotional politics ever got sorted. (and no im not thinking FMJ before ppl even try to go there, but rather ppl like Alvarez, Trout, etc which would be good 154 or catchweight matches if not for HBO/SHO issues)
