He was brilliant and spoke the truth, Froch did nothing until the 7th round and the 6th was the most one sided round from a challenger against a champion. He called bull**** on the stoppage (fair) and also said the scoring was a disgrace (which it was) - what exactly do you have a problem with?

He was very one sided towards Froch in Kessler II (most of the time when it wasn't deserved) did you mention that?

Hugely important and overlooked point IMO

People saying Froch looked poor, Groves has his number... would it have looked the same if Froch hadn't nearly had his lights switched off in round one?

What happens next time, if Groves doesn't have that early success?

I think the KD was massively influential on the fight

Jim Watt has been appalling from day 1 as far as commentary goes.

I thought Jim got it spot on. Froch was shite and Groves was brilliant.

Jim couldent call a fight straight if his life depended on it. To listen to Jim Froch fouled Groves all night but he never called Groves for using the head or rabbitt punches. Let alone any shot Froch landed. Im sure sky could find someone who is knowledgeable and unbiased to call the fight honestly at this point in time Stevie Wonder could not do any worst.

Jim also missed when the GMAN was blinking crazily and acting strange against Benn. I'm not exaggerating here but even I as a young kid at the time knew Gerald wasn't right. Jim just said he "lacked heart".

    Concussion:
Cognitive symptoms include confusion, disorientation, and difficulty focusing attention. Loss of consciousness may occur, but is not necessarily correlated with the severity of the concussion if it is brief.[20] Post-traumatic amnesia, in which events following the injury cannot be recalled, is a hallmark of concussion.[25] Confusion, another concussion hallmark, may be present immediately or may develop over several minutes.[25] A person may repeat the same questions,[39] be slow to respond to questions or directions, have a vacant stare, or have slurred[25] or incoherent speech.[40] Other MTBI symptoms include changes in sleeping patterns[15] and difficulty with reasoning,[36] concentrating, and performing everyday activities.[25]

George does know how to beat Froch imo if Froch makes some adjustments he could fair a lot better. But GG is very fast, skilled and hits hard. He can also stick to a plan and has a v good trainer.

Froch won two rounds what credit could Watt give him other than that?

Seems the people who hang off Carl Froch's **** don't like old Jim. Everyone else who isnt biased has no issue. :-(

    my little boy to bed)
I repsect froch I dont hang off his balls if you read my op I was pointing out watt was incredibly biased towards gg and was pretty blatant in being biased I don't expect commentators to have a favourite they need to remain impartial and call the fight as it happens

on a separate note(and this is not aimed at casual fan i just cant be bothered to do 2 posts as i wanna put my boy to bed) I have to say this forum has become a joke i made this post this morning and have got in from work tonight and read the replies i have been called a spastic, stupid , fuking idiot etc for making the thread it is no wonder the likes of tffp gpeter beeston brawler don't post in here much as you cant make a point without a bunch of keyboard warriors mugging you off and making it personal, as you will all see i made my statement and invited people to discuss i was hoping people could discuss the issue sensibly without hurling abuse but i am sadly disappointed

I agree more mate. The forum is full of trolls etc

This has nothing to do with Froch, Watt has been a bell-end for years.

cheers mate appreciate your input, it just seems to me that people read a post and then devote there entire response to attacking or slagging off the op, i have no problem with people saying they thought jim watt done a good job and stating why they feel this , the point i was making was that i watched this fight with friends some were boxing nuts and some casuals but most made the comment they thought jim watt was biased and abit annoying in the way he called the fight,
you used to have some great threads and posters on here who were full of knowledge and i used to find myself checking in a couple of times a day and loved reading most of the threads however now days u seem to have to sift through tons of abusive/trolling rubbish and its a shame imo

Froch landed a few. Nowhere near enough to steal rounds.
In comparison to groves it was next to nothing
Groves landed at will. I hear froch jaw is broken?
