a lot of the lefts he landed on Rios were scoring punches rather than going for power. Pac was using his speed and movement to get out of harm's way. There were spots where he did sit down on his punches, but most of the time he was punching and moving without the power we're accustomed to. smart IMO

I think Pac would get schooled. Floyd can win that fight with multiple styles. He can outbox Pac, or he can walk him down and have Pac trying to fight off of his backfoot. Or maybe he can even get him into a phone booth fight where Pac would get slaughtered. to win, Pac would have to control distance BUT that's a terrible proposition against Floyd.

I agree with everything above except last sentence.

Though Pac is extremely fast, uses good angles (especially in Rios fight) and so forth, when you really study him, he is pretty predicatable. When he faces a fighter with good lateral movement (Mosley, Bradley, JMM to an extent) his offense is somewhat dormat.

I also noticed in the Rios fight, that though he landed a lot of punches, he hit gloves on a lot as well.

Impressive performance all in all and I am glad that he is back (admitelly I think he should have retired after KO against JMM) in the sport. With that being said, Floyd beats him relatively easy ... too much ring generalship and ring IQ, IMO.

lol yup! like timeout's dumbass. First thing he did was post a thread about Floyd after his favorite fighter won. That's freaking crazy to me. You hate a man so much that he's the first thing on your mind after your favorite fighter just finished battering Rios.

If Pacquiao is easy work then it would be an easy $100 million payday that Floyd is avoiding.

If it's as easy as most think then who cares if Manny was roided up to the moon. Easy work right?

This type of split with anything going to the winner will never, ever happen with all of the shitty officiating and corruption in the sport. I wish fans would just forget about this type of breakdown.

    Yep!

Thats what most boxers and very knowledgable followers of the sport know and why most of us pick Floyd if they ever did fight. The sport is a thinking mans sport and Pac just doesn't appear to be on Floyd's level or even remotely close when it comes to adjustments. The boy (Pac) is a true fighter but an average boxer and thats the difference.

65-35 or 70-30 Floyd is the only acceptable. He is, and always has been the draw, and would be the A side to the promotion

In 2009 it was about as even playing field as you can get and arguably Floyd had a better hand going into Nego's back then but agreed to 50-50 with zero fuss.

I think floyd would win UD.but for god sakes, make this fight happen.

Still the biggest fight in boxing, would break PPV records.

I'm a floyd fan,but also like manny.i find it disgusting when floyd fanboys say there are better fights for floyd.there is absolutely no one,and no one deserves it more than Manny!

Some even dare to say Manny don't deserve floyd..bull****,if guerrero and alvarez deserved it i find this totally ridicolous.

Some say they are more interesting to see floyd against Lara,Bradley,Garcia, khan,GGG i think this is hilarious too.you must be truly ******ed person if you would like these matches over Floyd vs Manny.
And +3 millions PPV would definetly prove that.

No lower than 60-40. Pac just made potentially 30mil, untaxed fighting Rios with garbage undercard. Realistically, you can't expect him to take anything lower than that.

Also bare in mind Floyd really has no options left. Garcia and Khan, and neither fight will net him anywhere near close to Canelo. Pac meanwhile can rematch JMM, Bradley, Cotto, Provodnikov.

I can understand this, but remember. Floyd just made nearly twice that to fight Guerrero. And with the magnitude that this fight would Still have, a 65-35 for Floyd would still net Pac a 70-80 mil paycheck. Floyd would just end up with 120-130 mil, lol. which is deservedly about right.

Manny publicly agreed to all testing before the Margarito fight, so why you are bringing it up in 2013 makes no sense.

As far as the promoter feud goes, you are blaming promoters when the negotiations have never got to the promoter stage, and always stop at things like, "I get all the PPV and you get none" or "You have to come work for me before I will fight you" or "I did not say Pacquiao was next" or "I need a tune up" or "Pacquiao is finished" or "You have to cook me some rice and make me an eggroll".

I have no problem with you believing that Mayweather-Pacquio looks like Mayweather-Guerrero or Mayweather-Canelo. All I have ever said is that the fight would be dangerous and that Floyd himself obviously wants no part of it. Really, I am surprised that of all Floyd's fans on this site, I rarely see one say that the fight might be competitive. You are all so convinced of a shutout. But Floyd sure as hell does not think so, even with his size advantage, otherwise he would have stepped in the ring with the guy by now. Or is waiting until Manny looks shot to **** before he will.
