Is Alex Leapai a real-life Rocky Balboa?

    I remember in the Rocky movie the world champion and his promoter decided to give a journeyman with 20 losses from Philadelphia named Rocky Balboa a shot at the world title.

    Now, Alex Leapai had done more than that fictional character to earn his title shot. By beating Denis Boytsov, he's become the WBO mandatory.

    Of course, Leapai will be an underdog going into the fight with Wladimir Klitschko, just like Rocky Balboa was in the movie. But people down under will be enthusiastically cheering for Leapai, like the common people in Philly were rooting for Rocky!

    If the fight is in Australia, it will receive a lot of media coverage there and be a huge event.

    People should keep in mind, Wladimir HAS to fight Leapai because he's the WBO mandatory.

    He's a fake mando who was placed in a set up mandatory fight. He also HAS to fight Pulev.

    Who is the bigger risk? Pulev obviously. Thats why he's fighting Leapai. More luck to him. He is waving his lecacy away down the shitter.

    He has no WBA mandatory now, he does have a IBF mandatory in Pulev.

    He fought his WBA mandatory Povetkin in October, and he fought his IBF mandatory Thompson last year.

    He hasn't fought a WBO mandatory since Eddie Chambers, so he's due for a WBO defense. But the WBO is more flexible than the IBF, so they'll let him fight Pulev first if he chooses to do so.

    I understand leapai is the mandatory now but this is like the same level wladimir fighting mormeck..
    leapai is slow as a turtle and still proved boytsov is a stiff over muscled idiot

    Thompson never won that eliminator. K2 fast tracked him up the ranks because he was an easy defence.

    He was another fake mandatory.

    And then ask yourself how would a wlad vs leapai fight look like?
    Leapai bends down alot! this is like heaven for wladimir! he will use him as a pillow and lean on him. by the 4th round leapai stregth will be gone by holding all of wladimir weight up! same old story

    Leapai is a average domestic level fighter, but if people are stupid enough to pay to watch garbage like this then that is up to them, you know what they say about a fool and his money.

    When was the last time the WBO actually enforced a mandatory, let alone at heavyweight

    Boystov being ranked #1 was a disgrace, if Wlad fights Leapai he will deserve all of the abuse he recieves

    We know why you hate Boytsov, same reason you hate Wladimir.

    Wlad has to fight Leapai because he's the WBO mandatory.

    You don't hide it very well, it's obvious to anyone who reads your posts. You're always bashing and discrediting Leapai, Pacquiao, the Klitschkos, Boytsov etc but you never have anything but good to post about certain fighters such as Haye.

    It's easy to predict what your opinion of a fighter will be, because it's based 100% on one thing.

    Where does it say Leapai has become number 1? He would of moved up but not as far as no.1.
